Hrung is the only boss I've managed to take kill off, and I was probably super lucky and avoiding adds.

Mages are actually trash because of lack of divine damage. My fire bolt would do like 150% of a decked out rogue's auto attack. It's disgusting.

I've had so many 6 * kills Maybe your gear isn't the greatest but I am very confident about my gear and set up:) my clan has build me pretty well lol

Can guarantee my gear was superior to yours, unless you had like 3 gelebron rings.

Since then I've given my gear away however, so can't really test anymore.

You can have all godly gele gear and if you dont have the right set up It won't make a difference

lol, mage builds are all the same. it's not like there are plenty of "setups" to choose from.
If you're a fire mage, you got bolt, storm, attune, lure, and either incin or ice shards and if you're ice, then you got shards, blast, attune, lure and either frostbite or firebolt.
any extra points go to support skills - another lure, boost, or eshield depending on need but generally mages have the same set of dps skills. no big mystery here.
