i always thought dex was underrated for rogues. when i gave my 115 rogue some dex i noticed a huge increase in dps, so i wondered why brookie did not use dex in his builds. i think the build you suggested should be little less dex and more str tho, like 400-500 str with 200-300 dex. but its been a long time since i played a full geared high lvl rogue so i wouldnt know for sure.

In terms of the build, already with 1.3k+ damage, the damage is coming from the armour.

The extra 30-60 damage let's say from the extra 100-200 strength, after resistances, would add up to an increase of maybe 10-20 DPH (When Landed), but the extra attack would increase the chance to land a hit.

So say you on average, land 14/20 hits. If, because of the extra Dex, you land 15/20 hits, you add yourself an extra 400-700 damage lets say, with lures on aggy.

The extra 10-20 DPH because of strength, would only increase your DPS over the added Dex, if you landed about 30-35 hits per 1 missed.

Therefore I believe, the extra Dex is much more valuable for aggy, than the extra strength, and is why I think that Dex is so massively under-rated.

Please note, no other boss/mob would require you to have this much dex

That said, I'm not silly enough, or wasteful enough should I say, to rebirth before/after a simple fight, so I rock a very balanced build with 1.2k+ damage, 2.9k(ish) attack (3.2k on haste) and 2.5k(ish) defence, when buffed.

Rapid. I had 3.3k attack and 1.3k damage... 250 str is more then 50 damage with my gear this is why that build is best. To say I don't know my class is silly in all onesty. I have radient attack rings which I use for only aggra then I put around 100 vit 150 dex rest str I have worked out doing calc on a spears sheet my top dps estimating aggra defence at around 1500. For an overall build dex is better but for a damage build on a pure dps point of view this was not the case. Myself and a ranger from rosemerta has only just done calc on his build using dex and str to work out his top dps on aggra (if aggra defence is 1500) turns out his max dps was 610 str rest dex. I don't believe you have a dagger charm or a 15 dreadbone pirece neckless aswell as a very nice talon. These are what make the difference between our to builds. Because you have no pirece damage str doesn't do as much for you as it does for me. Because I have high pirece by bloodlust(not sure if you have lux one or bloodlust) dreadbone and talon str is much better for my dps.
Believe it or not I know too much about classes. When you get a good geared Mage have a try make him go full focus. Give him 45 firebolt and incin aswell as a decent shard and firestorm. All dreadbone Mage charms decent lvl 130 fire book and grimmore offhand and full int. you go your 'best' build both of you just attack aggra with a support Mage helping with energy problems and I garentee you. 100% that 1 it will be your fastest aggra and 2 he will get kill and then you will be as shocked as I was. Knowing that he can get much better gear while your almost maxed out.

I would much rather just add a radient attck ring as this is an extra250 skill points in str I'd like my apology please. You can shout brookie is right if you want also I don't mind . But seriously I I wante to I would rather take one if my 45 damage rings off and use a radient attack ring. So dex is not underestimated at all by me. But proven that str is better is right there.

I know why Strength would give you more damage than it would me. I use Bloodlust (it gives JUST over 50 Damage), A Majestic Talon charm (that I earnt as a drop, didnt buy), and a Radiant Ammy. I could have had a 15 Pierce neck if I really wanted it, but decided to pass on it because with only 300 Strength, it doesn't add as much damage as a Radiant Ammy and is nowhere near as useful on alts.

But how much extra damage do you really think you will deal between 1.1k and 1.3k 'Damage'? my guess would be no more than 30 per hit. So why stop at 3.3k attack? Why not go up to 3.5-4k attack? Because I can guarantee with 1.1k damage and 3.6k+ attack, you'd deal out more DPS (on aggy atleast) than 1.3k damage and 3.3k attack.

On other bosses would be a different story.

Also, you haven't proven anything? If you put 400 of those Strength points into Dex, ON TOP of your Radiant Rings, you'd stand a better chance at getting an aggy kill over any Druids/mages. An extra 20-30 damage per auto will take 20 hits in a row to equal the DPS lost by the 1 missed attack.

I hate to prove yu wrong but here the numbers (assuming aggra has 1500 defence)

Using my formula which was proven for hit% rate it's 3190/4690*1328 will give you dps of 903.26... That's average hit

Taking off 2 aggra damage rings and adding 2 radient attack rings (I would lose 90 damage gain 500 attack) work out like this...
3690/5190*1238=880.19

So ya as long as aggra is around 1500 defence or less that's how it works out so remember I have done everything to work out my top top dps.

How do you know aggra has 1500 or less defence? Did admin confirm this?

Unfortunatly the last few aggra have been free for alls so haven't had the chance to work it out -.- can anyone find that sweet spot where you can see and record it?
