Re: Noobs, where do they go wrong?

#31

Where is Duskwither? I've 'toured" all of Lir's and may just not remember which place this is. I'm doing quests from the docks right now leveling up to kill those L19 3 stars (this is part of the main quest line).

By the way, what about L21 - 27?
It's the Catacombs it's the dungeon zone inside the Graveyard between the Temple and the Docks.

I think 21-27 I spent in there mostly. Good grinding and a few quests. There are two leystones one at the top and one further down.
Ah thank you!

Well low level clans are pretty disorganized for the most part. May just want to join one of those clans that are inviting you just to check it out, you can always leave.

Look for a clan that has players your level and a lot of people (5+) are on at any given time.

A good way to look for a clan you want to join is to check the online rankings and leaderboards. You can find this in-game, it is under the social tab on the left side of the screen.

Check out the clan rankings in your world. My suggestion is find a clan that is high up on the powerful ranking but that has a lot of memers, say 150+. That way you know they recruit low level players heh.

Good luck, and did you say what world you are on?

Why play a class where skills cost more than other classes for same damage?
Why play a class with no auto attack?
Why play a class with 1/3 the armor?
Why play a caster?

Copy this sig! :)

Idk if someone said this but I HATE when noob come to stone and ask for stuff, follow me, spam group and trade, ask to help them level, take to farm(Druids are ok to take), and newest thing I notice they try to go to OW...then they complain higher lvls r all mean when we tell them to leave and go train somewhere else. I do enjoy watching them die though.

I'd reply to your points if I knew what you're talking about :D One thing I would say tho, some of those are probably Pretending to be noobs.

What's OW and what level are the mobs?

Mariner91, let me try to unpack ViperShadow's post for you:

There are usually a few lower level toons loitering in Stonevale at one of the entry points from Shalemont, who ask people to take them to the Farm. It's the most difficult leystone to get to, and the NPCs in that area give a couple of important quests. As for what lower level means in this context, it's anyone who is unable to make it past the level 50-ish mobs that guard the narrow paths. In my experience, we're talking level 15-40, though the upper range depends on the class. It's more likely than not that these are inexperienced players or those without any connections with higher level players, as otherwise they would be able to find an armed escort to where they want to go.

Frequently these same players exhibit common noob behaviour: the trio of friend/group/trade invite in rapid succession. And whispering to ask for stuff/gold/help levelling. Any of these is grounds for an instant "block" to the more jaded among us.

I think the reason ViperShadow says "Druids are ok to take" is because the Stonevale Farm is where druids learn the Totem ability (one-handed weapon which is much more useful than the two-handed staff). And it generally pays to be nice to druids, because you never know which ones have a long memory for those they won't heal due to past slights.

OW is shorthand for Otherworld. There's a multi stage quest to get the "key" to enter OW. I can't remember what level you can start it at, but in order to get the final quest, you need to be at least level 60. Once you get there, the first mobs in OW are level 80, and they just go up from there. Then the begging for help with the OW quests starts.

I think ViperShadow is speaking to the common issue of people begging for help in zones where they are completely out of their depth, and then complaining that higher levels are mean to them.

No by low lvls I meant 1-30.

The reason I said Druid is because when u get to lvl 40 it's lil hard to max from 0/400 to 400/400 while still lvling. That was more of a personal experience.

Its lvl 25 or 30 I think. I know how the quest goes. I guess I should have given an example: think it was some lvl 17 and 6 that instisted that they could go to OW. They kept asking us to help and denying that the couldn't go. While some of us said they couldn't tried to explain they don't listen.

Everything but these r fairly close to my point.

I charge ppl 1500 gold to help them level for 15 mins. I make sure they buy an elixer, cast fireshield on them, and kill the mob when it hits half health. People can't get enough. Mabye i should raise my price lol.
