Hate to burst anyone's bubble here, but a Wiki page was already made a long time ago.....

http://celtic-heroes.wikidot.com/start
and
http://www.celtic-heroes.wikia.com/wiki ... eroes_Wiki

Am I mistaken or is this basically the exact same thing? I only skimmed the responses, but I believe that I saw the Wiki page you made can only be edited by certain individuals... is this right? Wouldn't it be easier for the editing to be open to anyone, like in Wikidot? I hope that I am just missing something and you guys didn't just duplicate a site thats been in existence for no reason. At any rate a lot of information you may be looking for is already typed up in the Wikidot site.

I hope you guys don't get burned editing the site like I did months ago when I asked for help on forum and no one responded. Best of luck though - the site does look really good :) . Let me know if I can help with it, we had envisioned screenshots of all items and a thorough bestiary listing all mob stats, possible loot, etc.
Yes we did know these existed. However we didn't want it to be edited by anyone so that the info is secure and we know who to talk to if they deleted something ect.

Also this was created by the forum moderators so it is trusted. We are not perfect, but you know who to contact if something is wrong.

We also have a good group of core editors so we can carry the responsibility of keeping it updated. If it was open everyone could just say "someone else can keep it updated".

Also hopefully OTM will help generate traffic for it, which would also in turn create more desire for people to want to contribute content on the forums so it can be added to the wiki.

Why play a class where skills cost more than other classes for same damage?
Why play a class with no auto attack?
Why play a class with 1/3 the armor?
Why play a caster?

Solarus,

Yes, there is a lot of good info on those pages. And yes we would like help with ours.

I'm sorry, we don't mean to compete with the other wiki's. We just wanted something locked down so that people can feel empowered to contribute and not have to worry that next time they went back it would be gone.

Also I think its great that the forum mod's are leading it.

We want all the help we can get from people on the forums, we will try to give them credit where we can.

Screenshots of items and a bestiary would be awesome.

I don't know how it could be done then uploaded on our end.

Xell or Ds have any ideas?

Questions/Clarifications:

http://www.danny-schenk.com/celtic-hero ... .php/Stats
So what does Str do For Rangers, if they only use bows? From the description (esp word Melee) for Str and Dex, it seems to say Str is useless for ranged attacks?

Edit: I will need to double check my Warrior, but I don't think I get 25 Energy when I dumped 5 points into Focus. Is the 1 Focus = 5 Energy for All classes?
I think energy is the same per focus point for all the classes. How rangers damage is effected by stats I do not know exactly. I think str and dex both effect it.

Can anyone verify?
Sorry, I don't know how to confirm this but I'm pretty sure my warrior did not get 25 energy from his last 5 pts in focus. His current energy total us 52 (w armor) and his previous total was 40 (w/ same armor) for total difference of 12 . Thoughts?
Interestingly enough, L54 naked with 20 focus gives me 125 energy. Could equipped weight effect on focus be in percentage form?

Hi- that wiki is great. I have already been relieved of several misconceptions I had about game mechanics. Tyvm.

The info on the basic stats and abilities is great. I like the structure you are starting.

There is a very nice red boss guide and general boss guide on the board here that if not already included might be good.

I would like to see a spread sheet tool for tracking the warden, meteor, frozen, upgrade path. I will try to start something in the next few weeks, unless it is already done

One of the cool things to do long term is to build a spec emulator both to trial specs and compare specs. We may not know enough yet to really do this.

I was thinking i might start a photo safari for the bestiary. Others could fill in all the relevant info and ad mobs.

Also, exactly how are you handling questions, or for instance where something is said in a definitive way, when there might be several options involved?

Anyway, this thing has real promise. Thank you.

No worries, believe me :D . I just wanted to make sure no one accidently wasted their time  . I think it is great what you guys are doing! I just wanted to make sure it was intentional haha.

Perfect! Glad you guys thought it through. OTM is definitely the key to this sites success. You guys will need to maximize your Google rating to bring you to the top of the list - that's how I found the other Wiki's originally and is how others will find you unless OTM links you to their main site. My two cents to better help you guys out in your quest: make an email that all of the editors can access and post that on the forum/website. By doing so anyone can send you ideas and corrections and it will go to all editors - you could even have a feature on the site where registered users can fill out a form with ideas/corrections/info etc.

I've been wanting a Wiki page for CH for a long time, every other big MMORPG has a site of some sort that details all the nitty gritty details of the game. CH needs one desperately before they release more content and it becomes too overwhelming for editors. As is we have probably missed all oportunities to document the details of previous CH events (I doubt anyone knows ever single Halloween or Christmas item for sale, their stats, orignal price, etc. Hopefully this one will stay established and continue to be updated in the coming years. BTW art on the site is Awesome! Big factor that will draw people into it.

It would be cool if you guys can spider web the site in such a way that anyone can look at all mobs in game, look at the potential drops each mob has along with percentages, and if you click on a drop it gives you the stats/screen shot as well as what other mobs drop that item as well, bringing you back to the orginal mob you looked at or others. Quest items can even be linked in this manner especially rare stones, etc. For every item you can link what quest it could be required for as well as pre-reqs and level requirements. Just ideas, though. Site will be great with dedicated people behind it!

I read all the comments but, like admin, I don't have time to respond to all lol. Other editors please jump in and address some of these things if you can.

I would like to get a sticky where you all can post new content and bug fixes for the wiki.

Until then, use this topic to post new content OR just start a new tread and start the title:

For wiki: rogue dps guide. (for example)

We may not be able to keep up, so record your ideas and keep bugging us until you get a response or it goes on the wiki.

Mariner: for a mage I think it was like 7.25 energy decrease per unit weight on average. Different depending on what class.

I will try to do an experiment tonight, and report back here what I find.

My issue is that, when my warrior gained 5 more focus (from a level up, with no other changes in equipped gear), my Energy went from 40 to 52.

So far, the question is either:

Is the energy deduction for equipped weight % based, or a set amount (like your 7.25 energy/weight)?
Or
How much energy does a Warrior get (and other chars, eventually) get per unit of Focus (or at least in increments of 5 focus/change)?

I'll try to figure out how to take pictures and post here too, for evidence.
