Not one ranger do i ever see uses defence spikes. (Well they use but it's level 1)

i do haha i got a plus 10 corvax neck thing and royal, grand, fabled, crystal rings for it. i use it mostly when im supporting someone or someones tanking a boss but tbh even a mage or druid who is support usally throw off a spell or two at the boss

That's insane, I think Spikes is a great skill. Just as effective as cloak with a pierce lure.

Again, support is a build, not a class.

Smoke bomb is, sure but I have yet to see a rogue that uses smoke bomb and is considered support

That's the main point. Rangers are melee but OTM has made them a support class. Not to take anything away from them but i agree with elvra, what's a warriors support skill?
