You must change your play style as it will never be like it used to. Once you rationalize this, you will enjoy it again. Good luck.

Please see the howling wind thread for an illustration.

Also level 92 is very different to higher mid/endgame.
Oh I know all about the howling wind nerf. Also, I know that 92 is much different - its why I said it first.

Broken implies useless. Druids are still needed you just need far better equips to be less useful than before. But not useless.

This was done, IMO, to force people to get the very best gear to actually get boss drops appropriate to your level. This was done because the biggest social focus is group play around bossing - thus the biggest 'demand' in the game. Since this is very very hard without buying plat... It's a plat grab. Just put an additional 500-1000 usd into the game. I bet most of your problems will lessen considerably.

I wouldn't mind this plat grab if I knew it coming into the game. I probably would have just quit and not played like i did with elgard. But to stick it in when people have been playing for a long time (months -> years) is highly unprofessional.

I have pumped plenty into this game. I expected my toon to play a certain way and now that way isn't really an option for me. I doubt buying more plat will fix howling wind so I don't see the point in investing more money.

Pumping hundreds of additional dollars per toon will help make your level greater, your energy needs less bad, and let you survive better during bossing/soloing and for idols when you don't. They will allow you to continue to socialize with far less impact than not pumping money in.

My point I'm trying to make is that if Druids were like they are now - from day 1 - there would be less upset people. You thought you knew what you were getting. That stability was changed and is the worst part even if the changes were done with the best intentions (and I'm not so sure they were).

The more OTM changes the game the more existing players will stop buying and quit. I really hope they learn thier lesson and only add content never again changing existing content or mechanics.

Answer me this Plus3... you are an experienced gamer, as well as a few others here. What does your cumulative months spent on each different games over your history equate to??? Mine are as follows...

EQ (EverQuest) and WoW (World of Warcraft) tied at about 24 months EACH
HS (HostileSpace), and PW (PerfectWorld) tied at about 18 months EACH
CH (CelticHeroes) and AO (Anarchy Online) tied at about 6 to 8 months EACH
PLUS over 20 games that I have spent a month or less playing EACH

Gamers playing games have expiration dates. All of the above were GREAT games that I loved playing. My point is, the changes that are taking place now are not for us as much as they are for the future waves of people who will flock to this game and stay their time, at which point when they are done they will leave and more will come. VERY FEW of the people who play now will play this game to the end of its day, or even two years or one year from the time they started. VERY FEW. It is ridiculous IMO to say existing players will stop buying and quit... when the fact of the matter is, everyone will stop buying and quit sometime down the line. When one leaves, 100 more will join. And my bet is the majority will not be people who are so into the game that they care about a broken spell, game mechanics, or how hard something is now when it didn't used to be. Currently OTM is averaging about 20 to 50 FB likes a day for CH. A DAY! That is with the so called CRAP everyone continues to cry and complain about. Imagine when they get to 20k and 50k and 100k likes. This game will explode. Imagine when the Android version hits. There will be so many NEW players that the only way anyone will ever find out about how it was, is by reading past posts here on the forum. And even then to read it and to have experienced it will be two totally different animals.

I get your point about less people being upset if Druids had not been changed, therefore falsely advertised. But seriously, what MMO have you played that has not altered class balance and game mechanics after a HUGE update. Nerf is a ubiquitous MMO term, and rightfully so, because ALL games do it. Quad box your heart out my man, I know your loving it despite some of your postings I read. :)
