If you want to solo, my recommendation is to get a second device and duo box two characters. My preference is a druid and a ranger. Roots and longshot keeps a boss pinned down, and bolas for if roots misses. Or you could have your ranger tank if you don't feel like rooting. This combo doesn't have the best DPS, but in my opinion it has the best versatility and survivability.

If you had to pick one character though, a ranger is easier to build up to solo bosses. Druids might be better at it with enough sigils, but are harder to level.

Why not rooting druid and spear warrior? Free armor and it takes up less "space", at least it is easier to get as close to the mob as possible with less work, so less adds. They don't call me the master for nothing .

A Hybrid Warrior with a Rooting Druid would work well as a pair, but I still personally think that Druids are best off for solo'ing bosses (vines would help a ton with adds)

Rooting druid and skewer/shield bash warrior is better XD. Warriors have free armor USE IT!

I don't quite understand the fascination of soloing bosses. By the time you can actually solo a boss, its drops are useless to you already.

lol please do tell. Here we have a 4-page thread talking about "soloing bosses". Not one said anything about which bosses. 4* mob are bosses? 5*? what levels? which ones?

I hope you don't consider Stonecrusher "a boss mob".

Not true I just dual deviced avatar of donn at lvl 42 warrior on ladder (no lux) with a lvl 30 druid. The druid still needed the quest even!
