Camo's, Reaper's and Garanak items are all worth it. It just depends what class you are and how you use them tbh... The price of reapers have taken a sharp decline because of the new level 200 haste rings (which makes no sense) so now they're definiteley worth it because if you have over 4k attack it gives you more attack then 200 haste ring.... (Plus that smexy skill though...)

I made all my mney through merching and it will cut profits but it's still a valuable tool so I am prepared to forgo the profits for it

Auction house will be great for the economy. It will stabalize prices and also allow dedicated merchers to work easily.
There will always be people who need gold fast and will list items cheaper than the average market price. A smart mercher will buy these quickly and resell for the average


Mind you, this requires a buy now feature which is also a must imo

The 3 items i have listed are all overpriced.

Here is some food for thought on reaper. The poison skill works 15 seconds, and takes 45 to cooldown, its active 1/4th of the time. 100/4 is 25 poison dps. The 200 haste ring is 50 magic damage. Equals about the same. The attack boost doesnt mean much, you can always use an attack lix if it is an issue.

For camo, as long as you dont run out in the middle of a room, and use a damage charm that will be better then a camo.

For garanak, its boss drop items with no shop value backing it. To pay millions for an unsafe investment that will crash as soon as better boss gear comes........

Reaper- amazing item and easily worth 1-3m but not more

Camo- as it is rare item and very helpful usually sold for over 5mill, wouldn't sell one if i got a offer for 10mill tho so it's underpriced actually because if you ask most camo owners they all would never sell for 5mill

Garanak poisom set- worth 6-10mill on my server

Garanak frost set- 3-6mill

Garanak heat/magic set- 2-4mill

Shrive and spiritseed sets are never sold

Garanak is still the best gear out there and I wouldn't trade in a frost/poison set for any of the new lux even if the new lux was free

I look at gear from both, but if its a risky item i wont buy it.
But for attack, it would take many many lixs to match the prices, and youd have more attack then reaper with a lix. Also attack becomes less effective per point you have over the enemies defense. There is a attack overkill point, where its just not worth it. A 3ish% more hit chance isnt worth a million or so more.
To the damage part, yes magic is the worst damage, but as a rogue or ranger(which more reaper ring users are) they dont have shatter so it would behave like normal damage while leveling, doing about 25 damage which the reapers MAX poison dmg equates to. You would also be free of the burden of having to keep casting the reaper ring skill. For bossing, having a reaper still isnt a big deal. Trust me, its not worth buying or owning.

I do think it's humorous you think garanak is crap. I guess then all items that give stat bonuses are crap.

No one is making a living off being a merchant unless you can transfer that virtual wealth to real life wealth.

Rare items are already sold for crazy high prices like the dumb looking (imo) party hats that for some reason sell for millions. Those that have the gold to spend on expensive items will spend on it if they think it's worth it. You can get ripped off by a merchant just as well as an auction house. But with the auction house, they will have similar items to compare it to many times.

Really the bottom line is most would rather have an auction house than hunt down a merchant.

I know you're a proponent of waiting to get the best deal possible but most people would rather buy their lvl 100 and 150 lux then instead of waiting days and weeks. Lux will go for typical 65 to 80% of shop cost. Most lix are at a similar price.

Most that are going to buy hunter or lanrik or whatever are already prepared to spend 6 figure or more.

Hmmm. Garanak has no shop value. Last time I checked in the event lux shops we got ammys for 1.5m which have 200-300 stat points, a skill, other bonuses, and regen. Plus they sell back to the shop 750k. Hmm so im trying to figure.the sense of shelling out 3-4m for a heat set when I can buy something better from a shop for way less. We got a new 200 dmg ammy for lvl 200. Garanak would have to be cheap for me to buy.
