Re: Hand to hand weapons - which classes?

#32
The knuckle weapons should be for everyone! Since everyone can learn the ability. Hand to hand is kind of a barbarian skill lol, but everyone should have access to it. have the hand-to-hand combat less effective then the original weapon skills, but give everyone access to it.
+1 they should be for everyone
Mages are the class that can use the less kind of weapons : ( ancient ones)
Warriors have axes, hammers, swords, spears
Rogues, rangers : daggers/bows and spear
Druids : totems and staff
Mages : wands only
So i think the knuckle weaps MUST be for everyone :!:

I so agree for all classes!

If you think about it, who else uses hand to hand combat other than the 5 classes we have now?
• Fighters
• Brigands
• Monks
They all use hand to hand combat/unarmed combat!
Fighters are pretty much Warriors or Rogues,
Brigands are all Rogues and Rangers,
Monks? Well they prefer a staff as well right? And are close to be a Mage?

I play a lot of RPG games and I find that Knives or Short Daggers have been used on all 5 classes! Mages are always known to use Knives as Melee combat when approached or a quarter staff or a bo stick! Out all three, I prefer a Knife! Then for range, it's a sling and magic!

For Rangers, I rarely known them to be restricted to only a bow! If fact, if anyone have watched Lord of the Rings, the Ranger could use 1handed and 2handed or dual handed swords, daggers single or dual, blunt, flail and of course, a bow or crossbow! Almost as useful in all weaopns like the Knight!

Druids, now I always thought Druids are like cross between Fighters and Rangers with Priest or nature magic and can summon creatures, has an animal companion and can shape shift into animals! Oh and like Rogues, they are very stealthy!

Which brings us back to Hand to hand Combat? I say all classes! Also let them all use Knives, not Daggers with the exception of the Rogues! After all, what the Update should really focus on, is to restrict the main weapons to their proper classes!
As in:
• Swords, Axes, Blunts = Warriors.
• Daggers, Spears = Rogues.
• Bows, Spears = Rangers.
• Staff, Totems, Healing = Druids.
• Wands, Orbs, Elemental = Mages.
All rest should be shared!

My first response would be rangers and rogues only, but since Druids and mages need more options and dps I'd say everyone except warriors

I think it's most important that warriors CAN'T use them, warriors have plenty of weapons already, 7 if you count both one and two handed

Also, warriors should be using big bulky weapons to match their strength, not using dinky little knuckles

if its luxury make it all class no matter what.... and I dont really give a shiz about anyone who says druids shouldnt have shields or bodkins or dps offhands...... Uhhhh Hello? Druids really need to kick it up on the dps and those things help us A LOT! Try it sometime but if your ganna limit us to crappy items then we might aswell take away the bodkin and shields and dps offhands to make it fair.....

I say let everyone be who they want to be and not be forced into a small corner where they are limited completely.....

Hand-to-hand combat would be a fun ability to have, and an ability like that should be for all classes. A quicker but weaker option than a one-handed weapon used primarily to increase the chances of an interrupt. I don't care so much about being able to equip a hand-to-hand weapon as a druid, I just want the ability. Totems and wands don't do fantastic damage anyway, and some of us may opt to simply not use them and interrupt instead. Just be sure that you cannot hand-to-hand fight with a shield of focus equipped. That would be lame.
