Oh boy, time for some math..
So let's say that there are 10,000 active players on Celtic Heroes. This may be a pretty accurate number, but we have to realize that out of those 10,000 a very small percentage actually hold most of the gold on their worlds. We need to remember that people spend MILLIONS on shop/Event lux, and that gold is never recycled in the world as it was spent in shop. We're going to be talking about the gold currently circulating between players.
So i'll be using Plus3's example of 100,000,000 gold on each world as an example. This is a low estimate as most worlds have a player with 50m+ on their accounts. Anyway, we take 100,000,000 and multiply that by the roughly 10,000 active players in all. That gives us 1,000,000,000,000 gold in combined gold on all servers. That's One
Trillion . Now I don't know about anybody else, but that is a crazy sum and probably not even close to the actual amount of gold on the entire game.
We're talking about gold that is
circulating in the world, which means that the gold has to be held by an active player who spends it on items. Inactive accounts are not included in the worlds total sum of gold as NOBODY will ever have that gold. Think of it as locked in a safe, never to be put to use.
Now you'll argue about how I said there are roughly 10,000 active players across all worlds. Think about it, that's probably pretty close. Yes, the game has been downloaded millions of times, but the number of active players who actually contribute to the economy is small. So 10,000 is probably the high end of the spectrum.
Also, think about how much 1,000,000,000,000 actually IS. That's One Trillion for pete's sake. Gold doesn't just pop out of thin air, someone had to farm hundreds of thousands, or buy the plat to buy gold somewhere along the line. That number is ludicrous. Luda! (Those who got the reference, congrats)
In the end, this is like the Tootsie Pop commercial.
Mr Owl, how much gold is there on this game?
One, ah-two, ah-three, and alot more.
The world may never know
