Just a life lesson, that we should learn from..

In the UK you can take somebody (friend or foe) to the small claims court for as little as £10... so
unpaid debt - theft.
Borrowing with intent to keep - theft.

There are laws like that in America, Australia and the Philippines as well (the places im familiar with) but it really just teaches people that when they make a mistake there are little to no consequences.

Added to my comment earlier which you may not have seen, but I totally agree that this all starts with greedy, insensitive people. I've noticed nearly all are under the age of 21 and have no idea about the value of money and how hard people work to earn that in game and real world.

Makes me sick to see people like that.

I’ve had that happen twice by two different people when I was In school. I didn’t let them keep it...I tracked down where they lived, went to their house and made sure i got it back and never loaned them again. Actually after the second time it happened I stopped loaning anyone that wasn’t family. But in ch I don’t have the ability to track them down to retrieve my items ...this is why a feature needs to be implemented that would cut down on people tacking advantage of others trusting nature.

As far as the clan excuse. Every clan should be able to choose how they want to gear and people shouldn’t be part of a clan that has leaders that abuse a system. Otherwise, if a clan is cool with using a bound system then that’s their choice. If majority in clan doesn’t want it then don’t force it. It could even be implemented in such a way that it’s not viable for clans to use in such ways.

I’m sure otm could come up with something that works for all other than a “TOS” excuse that allows scammers to profit over and over again as they jump from clan to clan or from server to server.

Scammers aren’t just level 1s with fake names. He was a a member of clan for MONTHS. Level 220 and fully geared and trades took place in Arcane after Gele was killed. A lot of scams have happened by people gaining trust and then abusing that trust.

5 months in clan isn’t that long lol. Just shows how far stupidity can really go. Don’t wanna get scammed? Just simply don’t set yourself up for a scam and hold onto your damn items lol. Those items are gone, no point in complaining about it anymore. It’s like listening to a bunch of lvl 50 noobs blaming one another for scamming in the castle.

Seems like this game clearly needs even more safeguards, cause people can’t quite play alone without otm holding their hand. Sure add a lending system, but to me it seems like a waste of time and resources that could be put somewhere else

5 months in clan isn’t that long lol. Just shows how far stupidity can really go. Don’t wanna get scammed? Just simply don’t set yourself up for a scam and hold onto your damn items lol. Never said it was a long time, but playing beside someone every day, leveling alts with them and chatting daily ...some people can get easily manipulated into trusting the wrong person. It’s a human nature flaw, some are just too trusting, while others player smarter, but I don’t think anything is a waste of time if it’s going to make for a safer environment.

And the items aren’t gone ...we do have good people in our clan that pitched in and helped get the items back. Scammer made a huge profit in the process smh, but people wanted to see the items back to rightful owners. So I’m not complaining about lost items ..I’m hoping for a better loan system to prevent future scams.

I don’t. Wasn’t my gear, if someone asks me I usually lololol and tell them nope. Took one time for me to get scammed in game..learned my lesson. Unfortuntely a lot are still learning the hard way.

When you lend an item to someone there is always possibility that you will get scammed. Also a person asking for item to check stats smells as scam from a mile.
