Re: How would you classify a "noob"?

#31
A noon is simply a new player. The confusing part is that doesn't mean a lower lvl is more of a noob than a higher lvl. I'm only lvl 81 but iv played longer than a lot of the lvl 100+ players. ( 11 months)I had a bug for 6 of them that stoped me from recieving xp gold and iteams from mobs. I have played much longer and have more experience but because a bug put me 7 months behind does that make me a noob? No it doesn't I have still played longer than higher lvls so it isn't really the persons lvl that decides if they are a noob but how long they have played the game.

I disagree, Noob is a jerk, Newb is a new player. Not all newbs are noobs. There are many noobs that are not newbs. That is why I quoted a website with definitions.

To me a noob is someone unknowing or unmindful of the game. Whether that means the mechanics, like how to stat and skill your character, or the quests, or the ways to succeed....or it means just server etiquette and how to ask for a group and not spam the group button at people. How to not spam trades, how to be polite or kind or whatever you need to be to engender respect on your server...

The people who don't know these things... They are noobs. Not because they are some awful people, but simply because they simply don't know any better. Because they are new to the game, to the system or to the maturity of thinking about others as well as what they themselves need.

Like any slang, you can call people a noob for doing noob-things, but it's not the same, and it's used like a stigmatic reference not a true definition of a noob.

It takes one to know one.

I don't think it takes a noob to know one lol.

And WhySoKsed.. Since you sound like a Ksing ass, (correct me if I'm wrong). How many bosses do you take these days?? You must get so many boss kills.

As for being a noob for Ksing.. Ksing is simply a noob thing to do. Any respectful player and someone that actually knows what they're doing, knows not to ks, It is just cowardly. Especially on just normal mobs.

That being said, maybe it is just my world that tries to keep harmony and keep everything clean. We only have 1 Noob Kser named SirSmokesAlot, and all 3 of the higher clans in our world have better rogues. (he has tried but never succeeds in ksing me).

So, whilst ksing doesn't actually make you a 'noob' by the term of whoever made up what it means. It makes you one of the biggest 'noobs' in the book in my opinion.

If your not a Kser (which it clearly looks like you are) then my apologies to you. If you are a kser, then your a major noob and I hope your ass gets served to you by the other high level rogues :)
