Simple fix to all this ksing stuff is just unite. But you probibly cant so this is why you complain about ks. KS is not a word in the dictionary it is a player term. This does not exist the game is a Free for All game like most MMORPG'S. If you want to win kills have the upper hand or supperior players. Go on recruiting drives or merge clans OR level up to max OR have the tank outside group then have a dps group. There is a way there was a way there is always a way. Ok so please get off the topic of ks thank you nothing will be done to change this. :|

Just because you live in the real world and the whole world in real life is "free for all", doesn't mean you should just go around and take whatever you want in real life.

Sure you can do whatever you want but there are morals and consequences, same in a game where you are playing with other people.

If good morals aren't followed intuitivley, then rules need to be implemented to make sure that people do follow good morals. That is where we are at in this game right now with kill stealing.

Level up is the solution to 80% of the complaints posted.

You, sir are an idiot. I'm not gonna say anything else cause I don't want Admin to lock this topic, but how does it feel spending a couple grand to achive a high level in this game, making you "superior" over others? Level up.
I have not put any money into this game and i have 2 level 130 plus characters.

If you haven't invested thousands in dollars you have invested tens of thousands of dollars worth of your time.

First of all, to those of you who insist on casting a negative light around purchasing plat, keep in mind, this game, that you obviously like enough, to not only log in and play, but also post about on the Internet, takes money.
Look.. I'm sure the main point wasn't him buying plat.. Everyone buys plat at some point, even Notso. The point was, he clearly got to a very high level quick, past game content, and feels the need to act an ass, show off and troll about it.

Let's get back on topic for real.

Love the idea of being able to boot someone from group with maybe over half decision?? Or have a 'group leader' which is the original person that invites someone to a group.. They get the right to remove whoever from the group? No votes required.

The game is fine the way it is, people constantly try to make it easier. I got to a high level fast cause of my great clan that you in your immature way put dow, xp weekend and being a ranger. The simple answer and solution to the problems people have is to level up, you can sugar coat your rude and immature responses anyway you like , the fact remains level up and ks is not an issue.

Be willing to adapt to the situation, build your boss party accordingly , if you can not hold the mob the other party is more powerful than you. Bringing 3 Druids to a contested boss fight is like bringing a stick to a gun fight.

Or change the game completely so there is less whining , just remember what seems like a small change in an mmorpg game can have a long lasting affect .

And I promise there will be just as much whining if a change is made.

The Whole game is statistics, math makes up the game. Your group is an equation, but if your group does not exceed the damage done by the other group you lose nuff said nothing more nothing less its simple this is how 99 percent of MMORPG work.

Wow this topic again.
I am going to try to solve the entire problem and make everyone happy. (OK, stop laughing)
I have included a number (probably not all) similar threads.

Summary:

1. Some people like the challenge of a good old fashioned KS match. So you will never be able to please everyone.
2. Some just like the thrill of screwing somebody else out of their hard work just because they can.
3. All it takes is a few jerks to ruin it for everyone.
4. A desire exists to protect the lower level toons who are just trying to get their quests from higher levels with delusions of godhood.
5. “I am here to play a game, to have fun, not to deal with a lot of drama, I have a life full of drama I don’t want it here.”

Some proposals have been:

Method 1. Total damage -Whoever does the most damage gets the kill (or a variant is Whoever has Agro at death gets the kill) this is our existing system.
Method 2. First Hit –First person or group to hit after a spawn or reset gets the kill (this is the common honor system and defines a KS)
Method 3. Contribution -Use a credit system to measure how each person contributed to the kill and distribute rewards accordingly.

So how do we address all the issues?
Proposal: have multiple systems depending on the mob/area

Method 1: Total damage -Any 4-6 star mob that is NOT specifically required for a quest. (Basically all 4 and 5 star mobs since most 6 star mobs are quest related)
Method 2: First Hit -Any mob with 3 stars or less (solves most KS problems)
Method 3: Contribution -Any 4-6 star mob that is specifically required for a quest. (For the most part this means most 6 star mobs.) Drop schedule can also be taken into account so those who need the drops get priority over those who have already finished the quest. (There needs to be a minimum contribution to get credit. We don’t want someone to walk up to falgren and throw a single punch at the end and get a dragon.)

I always thought a good idea would be that once a player/group engages a mob that that mob is locked on to those people. That way even if another group comes in and trys to steal it, it wouldn't work because the mob is already locked on to the people who engaged it in the first place and they get the drop. Even if the other group killed it.

Sounds like a good idea, but then again the lower levels won't be able to do anything because the higher leveled clans and players would be hoarding all the time.

And that's bad enough.

How much more of these posts do I have to endure?

If you think the only way for the game to work as its intended is reach level 146, I don't know what to say to you.

The game needs to work correctly for players of all levels.

One of the people talking about getting ksed was lvl 147. There are always bigger fish and you can get ksed even at level 146.

Sorry but in all your talk of equations and statistics your facts are not correct.

It is not the group that does the most damage, it is whatever PLAYER does the most damage gets the kill and whoever that person happens to be grouped with.
