I actually do like this. Even though we have resurrection idols, at least there's some realism tied to not be able to go back to your mount once dismounted.

Think about every movie battle you saw, when someone on horseback falls of his horse, they don't go back and re-mount, they keep on fighting on their feet.

Then don't buy mount whistles... problem solved. You act like a raid is impossible without a battlemount and it's quite pathetic

"Then dont buy blabla" isnt an argument.

These battlemounts are almost doing the same as pets do: they arent really needed, but sure as hell help at raids. I dont think they will make a raid kill go from 10 minutes to 5, but they can help (due to the stuff they add) make things go easier and also help at lock battles when you compare a group with and without battle mounts, yes im talking about higher tier/level ones.
When was the last time you've been in a lock battle lol

didnt realise lugh was the only server...other servers have lock battles still even if you dont,

What people dont realise is that:

-first you have to spend millions of gold or thousands of real life currency to get a maxed out mount.

-then you have to spend more plat everytime you die or wait an hour(going back to the mount npc in a raid or close before a raid is not an option)

So why would people even bother spending fortunes when you have to spend another small fortune to use your mount in raids

Yes you can choose not to use mount whistles, and you will probably still be able to kill the boss, but what was the point in the first place to get the mount when you can't even use your mount 90% of the time.

To get a mount is a already a huge plat sink. I don't understand why otm would want to make it even a a more consuming plat sink, since it obviously deters people to spend plat to get one of these mounts. I really hope this gets a complete overhaul.
