Muldar, why doesn't OTM throw a few polls out there with a variety of choices before you once again knee jerk react to something that has been in place for a long time and working fine until someone lost a lock battle or two and decided to resurrect a previously ignored topic.
Stop basing game changing decisions off of a few topics, past and present and how many replies you tally over the course of 2 days before you break something else. It's crap like this that makes me glad I stopped sinking money into the game.
Before anyone whines about my post, I am 100% behind them being changed to be effective on crystals only, but suddenly changing the dynamics of them from the little I have seen on the subject is complete b.s.
Do you really think more players want these stupid runes changed before the actual loot tables for Prot and Gele? If so, you are completely out of touch.

This now prevents clans dedicated enough to farm these for boss fights from using them. The items overall value goes down and it becomes a situational consumable..
People farm Murky/Sewers for cargos for getting the Smugglers tonics. Must have for hrung, but does that work on the Cragskor room debuff? No. It shouldn't. Would need to farm an entirely different potion from the tower for that. Same goes for the green pot from tower, it doesn't reduce the attack speed reduction from High priestess of Morrigan(or even Prot). Just because a clan dedicates extra hours into farming these doesn't mean they can abuse an already penalized lock system for their advantage, no , it means the xtals would be that much less of a pain for then in Gelebron raids, relying less on mages.
Nerfing drop rates just makes it a slap to both the convicted and neutral parties involved. Making it exclusively for xtals doesn't reduce its value. A consumable dps item shouldn't contribute to the lock % to begin with but that's another thread.

The runes were intended to be used for gelebron only. It doesn't make sense why a damn level 200 can use a drop only a 215+ can get. That gives lower level clans with couple 215+ even a greater advantage at raids like hrung mord and necro.
Just another nerf for the players who put in effort and have been around longer. Smh
