Games shouldnt put players in that kind of situation but thats what CH forces you to doI probably would. Of course I want it to be easy but it isnt. It would take someone else in my current position to make me kinda see where they're coming from. Without windows it would be a lot easier to very nearly effectively shut out all competition by 90%.
Lets be honest here, barely anyone enjoys camping. You just want camping to be a thing coz maybe it favours you and your clan but if you get given a choice to win bosses easily without the need for camping for hours i bet you'd take it.

#42tbh I like the open world model. Dungeons get old fast and at first it's great, but eventually it turns into just another farming zone. Which is what happened to O&C. I probably would. Of course I want it to be easy but it isnt. It would take someone else in my current position to make me kinda see where they're coming from. Without windows it would be a lot easier to very nearly effectively shut out all competition by 90%.
Camping is really what i dislike about CH. Back in 2011, we login, we play. We didn't have to camp Stonevale and Meteoric bosses , we knew when they're due. It was a fun game. It all went downhill with Otherworld with placeholders and long spawn window.

No one wants to wait around hours waiting for raids to spawn, massively reduce their spawn windows.
Smaller clans do not stumble upon raids, they are forced to camp with the larger clans while the larger clans have the benefit because of more players, this is coming from first hand experience.
Listen to your players OTM, MMOs succeed when they listen to their players consistently, do it now at least or Runescape will definitely cause some issues for you guys, take a page out of old runescape's book and hold polls.

#45I hate camping because of how boring it is. If I were in the only clan in my world or in the clan that got most bosses. The huge windows wouldnt seem to have a purpose other than to annoy my clannies. But tell me how would anyone overcome a several years long jump start of a locker group with full godly/void gear if windows were 10 min. The windows in my experience hinder all clans enough to give us a chance to compete. As a member of a newer clan I see the windows as chance to build up. They need to replace the loot to make it less appealing to the older clans but I dont think that can be done forever without increasing the already tedious leveling cap (or add dungeons c: honestly thats a joke i dont know how to fix ch). Winning no raid bosses ever would make me quit as well, and we did for a while lol. I dont disagree that camping makes players quit because it does. As does never winning any raid bosses. But big windows gives new players a chance and a reason to play.

#46I agree that some camping is a necessity. But the problem with the current boss structure is that clans have to camp so many bosses that it becomes camping heroes. When I'm online I spend 95% of my time waiting for bosses to spawn because my clan needs the drops still. I have no time to go fishing or cooking when it comes out, I have just enough time to occasionally do bounties, and even then I sometimes need to skip bosses.So I can further delve into this topic and collate feedback, why do you think a mobile game should not have camping?Camping is a sad feature of the game, especially considering the game is a mobile one.
Because it is a "mobile" game and by that term is expected to be a quick experience or because the genre of mmos is saturated with camping?
(I myself have been an advocate for some instance based bosses and the lowering of certain windows in the office but I do believe windows play their part in equal opportunities for all clans)
I agree windows are needed, and I agree camping for drops is fine, but placing drops in bosses in a situation where clans need to camp 16+ (frozen-EDL (doesn't include aggy, spider, glash, or 195- EDL) bosses to ensure their clannies can get EDL is way too much. Bosses imo need to be redesigned in a way where only those who specifically need the drops camp, and clans can come help. I'll write up a post in a new topic in a moment about a solution I was spitballing with some clannies yesterday.

Because it is a "mobile" game and by that term is expected to be a quick experience or because the genre of mmos is saturated with camping?
(I myself have been an advocate for some instance based bosses and the lowering of certain windows in the office but I do believe windows play their part in equal opportunities for all clans)

#49You can still do the laundry and dishes done when you know when the boss is due. Then you wouldn't have your device turned on the whole time.The only benefit to camping is I tend to get laundry and dishes done.
Camping has zero benefit except to those players who like to kill our campers and grief us.

#50I like a short window. It gives a surprise opportunity- i could be chatting or casting when the boss spawns. makes the game harder, and therefore more fun. But yes, the battery life aspect is difficult.
Back to the original post, yes- some people need to learn that in order to get gears they need to be helpful and active, and they need to be patient- as they are not the only helpful and active people in the clan who deserve gear. But also, sometimes leaders have to invest into clan's future. Some people really want to hit endgame, get kills, etc, and when gens slow the game down with rules about gearing toons by alts and mains and other rules that really don't make much sense, it often discourages players and makes them less willing to help, slowing down their leveling rate, etc.
