Imagine banning someone for doing pvps in arena
It’s almost like back in the day when Killain was the only method to level up and players would get super mad when someone would kill them while they were doing their gladiator and would throw a huge temper tantrum over it lmao... you know the arena is alive again when the casuals get mad over being killed in a PvP zone lol.
Although it’s not as good because back then when you killed someone on gladiator depending on which clan they were in a huge arena war would break out... that’s how KodiakReavers became famous on belenus, players named Guardog and Daisycakes ran the clan and they would murder anyone who stepped foot in the arena no matter what clan (besides their own unless if Daisycakes was drunk lmao)... I’m carrying the legacy
every server probably had these people. I know we did in arawn. Forgot the guys name but was in resurgence at the time and luckily so was I, although one of my low level alts wasn't so...
That's another reason why pvp doesn't work in this game, a level 50 can get killed by a level 200 in the arena. They should make the arena level 200 or 220 requirement, nerf anyone's level that was over the requirement level but give compensation obviously. Make it a lot easier to reach max level. I was initially excited about this boss at first but that quickly wore off. finally a good enough reason to do pvp...untill u see how broken the pvp is in ch.
Meh it encouraged players to make friends with high levels which opened doors to new possibilities for a lower level. I was a lower level around that time as well so it was challenging but I managed to survive by befriending higher levels who would then act as a body guard as I did my gladiator, that was before I joined KodiakReavers and allied with 2 of the strongest warriors at the time (guard and daisy were a deadly duo).
It’s the same way in Elder Scrolls Online PvP. You can join a campaign super underleveled and get demolished by higher levels, but instead of being frustrated over it, it encourages you to do better so you can compete (there is also a campaign for lower levels only I believe but no one does that one from what I’ve seen).
The main issue with PvP falls under the gear/class balance. Druids and mages are well balanced imo, rangers are really good at sniping players (longshot can be amazing), but rogues/warriors are so heavily unbalanced. They have the ability to invest in loads of hp/resists while maintaining good dmg (which essentially makes them unbeatable unless when facing a similar setup), which the other three classes don’t have the luxury of doing. Reaver rings are far too OP as not only does it give 150 str/vit but 400 of each resist as well, and with 4 equipped it can completely negate the effects of a lure so a mage is basically doing unlured dmg going up against the added resists of a shield/edl, so our dmg turns into nothing but a tickle to them. 4 reaver rings gives 600 vit/str and 1.6k elemental resists...it gives more than a Royal bt tank ring lmao. They’re broken af as reaver rings can single handedly take away a warriors only weakness, a mage.
If VR is looking at PvP balance then they can start with an HP/resist cap as well as removing elixirs/food upon entry to the arena.
Zkills, Proud general of the beloved KodiakReavers of Belenus, the G.O.A.T clan
Professor/Detective Zkills, op mage of Epona, chieftain of KodiakReavers. Server banned for doing PvP in arena.
Can you do the impossible?
