I am seeing quite a lot of high dollar amounts.

Do you all think this is typical on your servers for players of similar levels?

Or do you think forum users just spend more typically?

Actually the only reason I spent what I did was because I was in depression and had a binge.
I have not spent $300 total on all the games I have purchased in the past 20 years.

hehe, my $200 in 4 months probably rivals the sum of all my previous game expenditures for the past 15 years

On my server there are probably about 7 or 8 people who have spent over a grand. It is hard to say whether forum users have spent more but I can see that possibility.

The more a user is engrossed in the game the more chance he would look for a forums for communication. Also the more a user is engrossed in a game the more chance he would be to buy plat assuming he had the means.

People who are extremists and spend a couple grand on the game are probably more likely to browse the forums as they are extremists and would want the knowledge the forums bring.

Mostly opinion but based on logic.

I find that of I was going to go out on a big night out, and would spend £200+£300.
To have a hard night playing and no hangover costs me £20 on the game.

First character: Sulis, lvl 59, january to april
Second character: Icefire, lvl 82 April to August(I think)
Continued Sulis to lvl 65
Third character: August to november(lvl 58 now)
