Here's one:

The new meteoric weapon upgrade boss, don't know the name, but shes in the tunnels somewhere, level 105 6*
I don't really understand how my level 143 ranger and 128 fully support druid could not kill her after 30 minutes!
Seems a bit harsh to me when the diamond giving bosses went down very easily, its meant to make the quest easier but I don't think it does.

I think overall there are a few things going on here , it's not only the difficulty of the bosses but it's the lack of sigils (still do NOT work as they should) , AOE is unavoidable even for ranged casters/fighters and players not changing their play style to conquer these bosses .

I like hard bosses , I like bosses that are unique as well , this new aoe does not make the bosses more fun , it just means more Druids are required to do anything . As I said in beta , I love wood crowns 50% move , the new spider queens sacrifice her minions move , ignus cloak being insane , all seeing calling for help when smokebomb is used what I don't like is the exact same crap over and over on every boss .

I think the aoe damage on basically all but the few that don't have this aoe needs to be greatly reduced in range and slightly reduced in power. It bothers me that all bossing must be done wearing the same armor warden-dragon armors .

I think fixing sigils should be a top priority , we purchased them when they were 100% effective , it's fair we expect them to work the same although understand you are not obligated to make any changes just cause that's how we want something.

I also wonder if all the previous posters were killing these bosses using their warden line gear or were they still going with damage/diamond/spirit shadow gear ? these bosses as currently stands are much more doable with the warden line armors.

I think disc dropping bosses should not have the new aoe skill at all , the armor required to fight these bosses is why people are fighting them , seems silly any boss below meteoric level uses this skill .

IMO priorities for balancing bosses should be :
Reduce aoe range
Remove aoe damage from disc bosses
Reduce aoe damage
Restore sigils to 100% effectiveness

It seems like a number of catch 22's.
1) You need warden line armor to boss near your level because of the chaos resist and devine damage, but you can't get warden line drops without bossing.
2) You need druids to handle bosses, but druds have been nerfed via sigil and in-combat casting of buffs and heals and aoe effects that put them into combat as well. And the other option, idols, have been diminished by the death penalty, making nerfed druids all the more essential, but no less effective.

You said reduce aoe range twice and it will still be impossible to stay alive for melee classes they should just overall remove it

Did anyone actually test these bosses at the appropriate levels? or were these effects added afterwards, I assume you all discussed the appropriate tactics and levels needed for defeating them in beta.

Level 100 boss, group of 100's
Level 130 boss, group of 130's
Level 160 boss, group of 160's
etc etc etc

I am pretty sure a boss for drops is meant to be taken by a full, balanced group, not by 20 or so players.

I know this has been done to mainly stop super high levels from dominating the quest market, but something has to change.

Thanks Jacoby I meant reduce aoe damage and mistakenly typed range twice , I edited my post .

Donko , at this point I don't think how we tested in beta is relevant , obviously now that thousands of people are fighting these bosses there is much more feedback from more diverse groups . Beta is a great tool but there are many limitations in beta that are unavoidable , testers and I'm sure otm would have liked more mob difficulty testing , bottom line is we all did the best we could with what we had available to us :)

Gonna agree that the OW frozen quest bosses got too hard. A single, full, well balanced, AT-LEVEL group should be able to kill these bosses before having the frozen set bonus, and w/o needing sigils, so I think the current issues with sigils shouldnt be taken into account here. When all seeing is this hard for a group of 150+, I think poor little 110s won't stand a chance.

As for aggy and the new bosses... They are extremely hard for 2 full at-level groups, atm, but I think the broken sigils are, and should be, a factor for some of the difficulty.

I also agree with previous posters that the AOE shouldnt hit as far as druids. Druids have no armour, and those that focus on being healing specialists have no need to be in range of a boss, and deserve to have the perk of not getting smacked around. Its already very hard to be a druid in this game...

Eliminator, I totally agree with you. The lower level bosses should have ramained the same. The OW bosses could have used some boosting, but not much as they were existing bosses. The new bosses should be hard, they are new. And for the beta testers killing Ironspike with full dragon gear, that is total BS. A noob is not even gonna have much extra eq (rings and damage boosting gear) so what exactly were you testing @190 full dragon armor. Seems like mismanaged time IMO.
