Re: In game Death penalty *admin response, give feedback

Clearly we are back and forth on this , we don't agree and that's cool.

I think a death penalty would add depth to the game , make it so classes have to be more careful with their build, you woukd not see nearly as many 80 vit dps , if there is a reason not to die we will all adjust and make it so we don't die as much , the game will require more skill to play and be more fun.

I know alot of people do not like when the game presents more of a challenge and maybe that is fair since this is a mobile game , I dunno I like it but whatever is clever , I didn't think so many people would be so strongly against it .

And sirb threatening to quit if the devs make a change to the way the game is played is quite childish and I didn't expect that from you .
+1

READ. Are you saying you would continue playing if you lost xp everytime you died? Honestly, I wouldn't and this is some insight for OTM. Xp loss is the first thing that turns me away from a game.
Xp penalty? I absolutely hate that idea and will leave the game as many people will too
Im specifically speaking of xp loss on death. It's an honest opinion that will also lead others to leave as well. In every MMO that I have tried, no matter the greatness, I would automatically leave once I lost xp on my first death.

It's not a threat, it's a decision on whether to waste time or not. Technically, entertainment is non productive but not being entertained with entertainment means you should leave it ;)

Admin had said before they're unlikely to implement XP loss on death. Why are you arguing against this non issue? Did you even read what admin was suggesting?

I dont like the idea. Earlier Posters may think this will increase Druid relevance and encourage careful play and strategic char builds. However I think it will just encourage Potion use.

OTM needs income and it's great they get it from items and gold buying in game but do we really need another stimulant to potion use?

The arguement was a retaliation for what was braught up against me. Read my whole post to see what it was. And calm down, I'm not focusing on that specific penalty (which you can see by my post). Did you just say that for the hell of it or are you going somewhere withe that?

I understand those that are against this. People don't like change, especially change that makes things more difficult.

What should be noted is the fact that in 2 and 1/2 days this topic has generated 700 views and had tons of fired of up responses either for or against it. These numbers attest to how relevant this topic is.

I think even those that are against it at least realize that it's something this game lacks. I wish those that have been so adamantly opposing a penalty would suggest alternatives to this issue rather then just continue repeating that the game is fine the way it is. The same people that are against it now will be crying about the way the system works when the update that introduces target locking comes out. How about we solve that issue now before it becomes an issue. They'll just threaten to quit the game then when it's a problem and demand it to be fixed for their continued play.

MMO's aren't meant to be completed at a pace where you die every minute and continue a successful fight. Something needs to be done to remove that capability from the game. Those arguing that it's too easy to die in this game may have a fair point but that doesn't mean we shouldn't implement DP, you guys need to suggest ways for admin to make the game more survivable of the content is really that unbalanced. Otherwise, stat your character correctly and play the role in your group!

WHOA, slow down there... OTM has bigger issues to solve first than DP's, How about making the mobs stats go down so it's easy to 'not' die and then u can Add all the Item loss xp loss chest hair less WHATEVER.
The fact is that OTM would make such a big deal out of this that they'd make things even worse... if your not naiive then you would realize their little game... If your going to add death pentlaties atleast make it so that it's not easy to die... atm boss fights like agg and that Halloween one is just an idol fiest... imagine death pentalties on all those deaths, u spent like 20-30 idols(or more) and i just found out that all that Platnium idols i bought went to waste from all my deaths on a boss fight.... (F#%€ this i would defiantely quit if something like that happend and plus some may not be as fortunate as most of us to splash our money on platnium and could careless if it just DEATH PANALTIED away from u.)

Not fair, I have suggested alternatives and have not gotten a single response for or against.

Create rewards for living I stead of penaltys for dying.

This is what you said in your post which Elim responded to:

Xp penalty? I absolutely hate that idea and will leave the game as many people will too

Then you retaliated again with:

Are you saying you would continue playing if you lost xp everytime you died?

Xp loss is the first thing that turns me away from a game.

Im specifically speaking of xp loss on death.

I would automatically leave once I lost xp on my first death.

Even after admin suggested the debuff penalty you keep bringing up XP penalty which isn't even on the table.
