Re: The mob lock is really infuriating me now

That other person/group would not have gotten the lock, unless they did at least the appropriate percent of damage on it for their level range, and discounting the lock, they had to do more damage than you did after respawning - so they obviously did more than a single hit.

many people feel that players solo-killing a boss using restos, and other players as pawns while you respawn, is a completely inappropriate and unfair way to play a game. I cannot see any other way a player can Solo kill every 6* boss up to lvl 149 being a char in the 160 lvl range.

So, yes, the fact that you cannot continue doing this must be very annoying...
But imagine how annoying it has been to those other people wanting to get a boss kill in occasionally, but had to just sit around watching one or two players dominate every boss with plat items, and hope those players might sell the drops.

On the plus side, with some small adaptation, this kind of thing shouldn't happen to anyone more than once...

Actually if u dealt 99% of the damage and i hit it once but u died and i hit a second time killing it righ after u rez i would get all the loot i dont need the lock itself as once u died u lost all ur 99% which would mean i dealt 1% compared to ur 0% and game would reward me :)

And the more reason to not die and bypass all the bs. Target lock is designed so that level appropriate chars have a shot at obtaining loot, not making sure the higher levels keep their monopoly like it seems some target lock opposers are trying to do.

Target lock should only do one thing imo and thats is to prevent a ks if two groups are at a boss at the same time and one group happens to be 160 its still not a ks they were there also. With target lock the chances a group of players would lose the lock after starting it is extremely low if they were the only ones there but if a high lvl group was also there they shouldnt be penalized because they lvled up. Limiting the game as u get higher is the worst thing a mmorpg can do and this is why almost all mmorpgs dont do this they expand the game as u increase in lvl giving more things to do while making lower lvl things extremely easy for u after u over lvled that section of the game.

Ok so first of all, the person does not need to do anything more then hit the boss once, or use on spell on either the boss or someone who has any aggro before the person killing it does. Second of all, you do not need plat to kill 6* bosses solo, you need strategy (my sig is out dated). Third, i never sell my drops, i give them away for free and if there are other people there before i arrive at the boss i always help them kill it and let them keep the drops. If anyone asks to group, i group (unless they are a known scammer). And idk what corrupt beta testing has to do with this.

The simple fact remains that target lock creates many more problems then it solves. Make it simple, get the lock at a set damage percentage (20% perhaps) and only reset if the boss resets. Then if the boss resets, the other opposing group (if there is one) will have a chance to kill the boss themselves. If not, the original group is free to try again. Making a set percentage at which the lock is awarded will take away the guess-work and the use of lower levels in a group to gain lock sooner, along many other problems.

Simple and easy, the lock doesnt need to be and shouldnt be as complex as it is now.
Enjoy the little things in life...
One day you'll look back and realize they were the big things.

I 100% agree with derp, you die you lose your right to loot. And the other person would have had to do with at least 10% or out dps you after you revive making it their kill
I really don't understand how the others think that of you die mid fight, you deserve all the rewards.

You died, therefore you don't deserve anything at all.

Fact is you still died, and the living gets the spoils of war. Unfair? Perhaps. But you only think it's unfair because you think a resurrection idol should give you unlimited lives. If there were no such thing as idols, players would be used to resurrecting at leystones and this would not even be an issue.

or to save a boss from resetting
That's really not what idols are meant for. Just because it had that effect, it's not a crutch to play poorly. If the boss kills you, you're dead. Should be battle over.
