Avalon also has a general pool where we can earn dkp and a percentage of it is added to raid pools. So our eastern hemisphere players can build some raid pool priority by camping and killing general bosses like Unox or Snorri etc. We also try to plan our raids for the times when the most players possible are available. Aileron has made an incredibly fair system for us.

I dont really mind what u think, holding grudge for years for stupid reasons. Anyway, the system is agreed by the clan, while Avalaon's system sounds very interesting this is what we go by, I dont understand the idea of being so rude, hateful and immature towards a clan's system. My best suggestion is feel free to join and try to 'kiss my ass', if u feel that rewards u, then maybe u will prove ur point. I dont think any other system is completely useless, as I havent even tried them myself (except dkp, but I did dkp on an instances game, which works differently than an open world game).

To sum it up, kudos to any clan successfully running his own system, its not which system is best its what works best for u. It was an interesting thread to read except the derailing by some members, and nice to know that DKP has a variety of options to run.

But if we did that us generals wouldn't be able to gear ourselves or our friends so it won't work for us

Example scenario:
Two players same level, activity, gear, etc
One is funny, friendly, whatever other traits that make someone well liked by clan
The other barely speaks english so noone in clan has really talked to him

Who would would get more votes to get the drop? Seems a bit unfair doesn't it? A player is bumped down the list due to demographic barriers and other reasons that cause less people to like them, and vote in a biased manner despite them being equally deserving

I'd say it's quite rare to find 2 people to choose from who are so different in personality, yet have exact same amount of clan contribution.

This game does a better job of teaching English than English classes do. I've seen several non-English speakers go from broken English to flawless swearing, slang, and colloquial terms in only a year. It would be surprising if they didn't earn fluency in English faster than dl offhand.

That said if voting departs from merit and contributions it's unfair, points are very close representations of merit if done right. It's quite an unusual clan where voting actually works so cgs.

Any kind of voting system is unfair, because it is subjective and involves people's opinions. It will not always be 100% correct. No clan officer can be on 24/7 who can monitor everyone's activity. However it is better than rolling.
But if you want an objective system, then you'd have to go track attendance and loot already received using a points system.

This statement couldn't be any truer.

Imo voting system is bad, based on favoritism and the difference timezones doesn't makes it better at all.
Rolling is based on luck, someone with a lot luck wins a lot and maybe the person isn't doing alot for it.
Dkp is good if theres a fair chance for everyone to get drops and there should be a limit of max drops, if someone has like a mordy spear and want to bid on other than current spear should be handed in so someone else can use.

In the voting system, if a fairly active main and very active alt wants the same gear, who gets it?
