The alliance between clans is probably why taranis has more high levels than almost any other server, iOS or android.
The resulting efficiency created one of the most powerful and chill servers, that is till the rejects hit critical mass and tried to ruin it for everyone.
Since Gwydion is the only world with 2 clans that have succesfully killed gelebron i safetly assume we are the biggest/most active server in terms of endgame players.
We have a system nothing like taranis and personally i would quit if i was in a system like you have. If i want to leave my clan i expect to take all my endgame gear i Earned through collecting points and attending more bosses than others. To have to start from nothing is bs.

Both the top clans in Gwydion are pretty pathetic with scammers, we had one in our clan and he didnt get kicked at all. When he joined the other top clan and stole items he had been lent from other players they accepted him with open arms which is quite ironic   .

if you want a scammer friendly server join Gwydion :)

That Mordy battle was hilarious.
I couldn't tell who was killing sents, and it looked like some resurgence were killing priest. Given mord is 190 and 210+ suffer a penalty our usual 230s need almost 2x the dps to lock over 210s and below.

To counteract this nubbiness we leave all sents and priest up and dps group goes straight for the kill. We tank or run all the adds and, if by some random turn of fate, it gets locked by a rival we simply let all the adds fly.

It looked like that was partially the strategy but was hard for me to tell from the video.
Res went for priest after unit wiped and we got the lock. But yeah on that level penalty...when we don't have to lock battle Mord, sometimes it will be at like 40% or less before locked as we will have like 3 or 4 groups of our overleveled dps hitting at same time lol
We have locked it at 20 on a few occasions haha.

So many posters so very certain it is universal to all servers how clans treat drops.

Yet here is an exception. And Epona is different again. Even some of the other posts are showing different rules for good and bad drops, Event versus Raid.

So basically what I take away from this thread is that it is custom NOT logic or morals or "honour" that guide each server or clan. Oh and that any post can be derailed.

What seems to be fairly universal is each server has a set of rules most people agree on and if you blatently break them you lose the cooperation of others. Which is essentially being blacklisted, this thread didn't derail so much as talk about how one world handles it.

This is the same with laws in any country today. Different countries have different laws and while the actual morality may not be apparent, or the rules even logical for many of them, if you break them you lose the cooperative nature of that society and they will likely take action. No one can actually make any human do anything in the real world either.

The honor part is keeping up your end of the bargain if you agree to them. While I don't blame members for leaving the clan with gear whose gens broke their own agreement with their own players out of greed (I actually feel sorry for them and every agreement has 2+ sides to be upheld), it was the way it was handled that was unacceptable.

It is likely due to the rules on taranis that has led to us being one of the top servers on iOS for high level accounts. I think we are #3 out of the 14 iOS. Both of the top 2 clans are pretty close to killing Gelebron independently and have gotten 30+ well equipped end game players on for kills. If the rules and atmosphere really was bad all those years it would likely be 3/14 instead. Compare that to worlds where the constant fighting between clans has made thier worlds weaker becsuse everyone spends thier time fighting eachother instead of leveling in peace. The only winner there is OTM as this wastes a huge amount of plat items compared to what cooperative play uses.

You do realize that some drops are very hard to get right? Like. If a clan pours a bunch of resources into gearing a guy with full DL/EDL it is not cool for that guy to turn around and leave.

It amazes me how short people are on ethics and a basic sense of right and wrong...
But this is a game and not real life. It's the persons individual game on there individual device, they shouldnt need to feel like they are trapped in a clan just cuz that clan helped to get them good gear as they do with all there players, that would be selfish of the clan to assume that.
That's true that a person should not feel trapped if they do not like their situation. They should have the option to get out. That is how new clans are made, which is something happening on Rosmerta right now. Competition is actually good and healthy for a server to survive. The bosses out there aren't that hard. What is hard is competition. And it's the competition that drives us to play this game.

But I shudder each time a person says "it's just a game", because to me that's code for "I feel justified acting like a jerk because everyone else is just pixels on a screen." it might take place in a digital world, but there are people controlling the characters around you. It isn't Paper Mario where everything is an NPC.
That's a good point on your second paragraph. I'm ashamed to admit I was one of these people, I saw characters as just that, characters in game! didn't even care to think it was actual people behind the screens and tbh it didn't cross my mind. It's only till I really thought about it and realised its real people and that made me feel stupid and guilty, I bet there are a lot of people like this that don't think of the person in real life.

I figured that isn't what you really meant, and it was just an unfortunate word phrasing. You've been around a long time, and know how your decisions can affect others. I just feel the need to post my view on it because I've seen people repeat that line way too often, and I don't want the myth of "It's just a game" to continue when I can do something about it. Cheers! :D
