Beta would be the time to put the theory to the test that proteus and gele can be killed with 0 plat items. Anything is possible in theory. And would the server remain lag free enough to make a kill possible with that many players logged on in one area.

I'm also wondering if plat items had never been introduced, would everyone that has lixed to 215+ leveled that high without lix. If enough people would have said no way it's too much grind without lix, restos, idols, etc to level and you never had enough people then wouldn't that lend the game to being pay to win?

If plat items were never introduced this game would have never made it passed the stonevale update, perhaps even earlier updates and otm would be long gone. This game would be a pay to win if all items from chests/plat shop were no trade, bounty board/shop never existed, raids never existed and lux was the only good jewelry available, took ages to gain one level, took ages to get 100k, and if fishing never existed... Aka when the game was released. Since then, otm pretty much tackled all of those problems and to this very day they continue to do so which is why this game is not a pay to win.

Haha P2W in stonevale days? I never touched plat items in SV days. Back then you didn't need 40 people lixed to kill bosses, maybe 20-30 without lixes. You could hit lvl80 in easily 2 weeks if you lvled. Only people I saw lixiing were the ones who were past 85. Stonevale days were the best, and easily one of the most active times. They really should have gone horizontally instead of releasing OW.

Yea I agree that the game was better back then, playing as a low level not having to worry about anything and only playing to have fun. That doesn't change the fact that the gap between a plat buyer and a non plat buyer was fairly large because gold was pretty hard to get back then. Any old player would know this

Clearly you haven't "won" the game by beating the eg boss. If u even experienced gele you'd understand how costly it is.

Clearly you don't know what "pay to win" means. If you had experience with other games that are pay to win, you'd understand that celtic heroes is no where near a pay to win

Lmao other games have a clear line between p2w and f2p. That lines been so dulled in ch that it makes people think the games f2p while it's actually p2w.

But this game is f2p.... Plat buyers get Lixs without even trying. Most people that buy chests mainly go for the rare mounts and rare fashion (or at least before mount/fash tokens which kinda ruined things) and get tons of Lixs in the process and as a result, Lixs are available to everyone so one doesn't have to spend a dime on Lixs.

Never mind needing plat to kill gele or prot. Most toons cant even get to either boss without plat items (restos or idols). You're gonna die and get sent back, rinse and repeat. GB15 would know this if he had any end game experience.

Well if you're going to go that far then I'm just gonna say that there's a wonderful skill called spring to life, and if you're going to a boss than there is most likely going to be a Druid... So yea

Yea, you buy them off of a player that bought them off another player who also bought them off of a player and so on... I haven't spent a dime on Lixs because I don't have to. I'm sure there are plenty of players that kill gelebron and prot without spending a dime on Lixs, so... It's not pay to win

Correct!!! You cant buy heroic lixes without buying plat. Of course you can buy from other player using gold but that player buy platinum. Btw, i got heroics from fishing but its rare.

Yea Heroic Lixs only come from chests but since there is a huge abundance of them, no one really has to spend anything which is why it's not a pay to win. If Lixs were extremely rare to find in the market or if they were untradeable than yes, this game would be a pay to win. I would say the same about restos and idols but Druids would be the answer to that

You talk as if I am not a old player even though I played in the first year of release. I can most definitely say that was not a P2W time, maybe your world had that problem, lux items weren't that expensive compared to now. Most people farmed their gold, not manually but sitting in a area over night and shutting their screen off. There were a few players on Herne that bought plat for gold, but for the most part people had so many gems and gold by the time the expensive stuff was released, i.e. Heroic Amulet of Rejuvination, that people had no need to buy gold. Plus even if they didn't have the gold, like me, they would farm as I stated before because the items weren't something that was drastically need to still play. Again this was how it was on Herne, maybe your world was different and rushing everything.

I played on Belenus so things may have been different. Back then 100k was considered a lot of gold and it was most certainly difficult to get that much gold and as you said, people had to afk farm for extended periods of time just to reach that amount. Now days you could easily make 1m in a matter of weeks from farming. In 5 days of doing nothing but farming gold bosses and low lvl meteor/warden bosses I was able to make 600k, and I was only playing for about 3 hours a day.
