I like the idea of combining the lures. I don't see why I have to spend 50 points in firebolt (+ lure) to get maximum damage. If.I have to spend 50 points, then I should be putting up really big numbers.

If the current mage config is that they are superior in PVP, would it be acceptable for OTM to increase dmg and lessen the effect of the shield to compensate? I agree that mages are being neglected...

Its funny at the higher levels 125+ melee classes can survive and kill with only 150+ vit.

While mages need 3000 hp and cast 2 energy shields to kill one target. Or in the case of the 'melee mage' 4500 hp and no energy shield.

I also have people coming up to me asking why am i using a blade of fire for my offhand?
Because the game design is buggered that I have to use that to increase my wand damage while my spells take forever to cool down.

Sadly, it probably won't be addressed. It seems, from my reading on this very forum, that we are the smallest demographic in the game and that the other classes have no problem chiming in with the "you're a support class-deal with it" comments. Additionally, I don't see OTM wanting to change the "cash cow" class as it were. I hope I'm wrong as I would still buy plat to support future content as I love the game.

If you look at which mages issues have been addressed in last updates, you'll see that not a single one has been, while all other classes (except druids, maybe) have had theirs fixed after a few whines. I think that devs only play those and not as mage. Plus we're the least played class, so it's becoming less and less worth the trouble to pay attention to 1/10th of the player population.

Let's face it - mages have been abandonned. We're stuck with crappy skills, and only heavy plat buyers will be somewhat able to keep up with the other classes.

Unless admin comes back and say mages will be looked into for next update, that's what we'll have to cop with.

Rouges spent less than a week complaining, and It was patched immediately, admin how come you haven't done anything yet? You have more than several topics, with more than enough info on what to patch, and yet you haven't even said one word.

I'm hoping that maybe, just maybe, the devs see this and will incorporate at least some of our issues into the soon to be released update.

I've already invested heavily into energy sigils to combat the crazy long downtime a Mage deals with, but even if they addressed that issue for the non-plat Mage players I'd be happy.

Again, I am and will continue to be a plat buyer. In less than two months of playing I've already dropped 160$ on the game. I don't mind buying. I understand many cannot. OTM seems to have made the Mage class a plat must buy class and that truly is a shame. I understand that money needs to be made to continue to get content, but can't that burden be shared among all classes? I've not spent much time, if any, on other classes, but from what I've read none of them are so plat dependent as the Mage class. If I'm wrong, by all means, apologies and please "learn" me on you class plat woes.
