A bit late, but...

Congrats guys. I'm sure the negative feedback will slow down once the new rules are better understood by everyone.

If the other three mods were active at the time that the new rules were applied, they would be taking the heat as well.

That being said, try your best not to be canon fodder.

And Vole... can we expect an Easter themed profile pic next, or will you be doing a Valentine's? With baited breath....

There's a difference between enforcing the rules and completely destroying the forums. Lol. I've seen so many randomly locked topics for no reason other then 1 person swore or 2 people started arguing...

Wy not take action against these sort of people rather then locking the post

I have been a forum mod on Runescape forums, I know how it is to have the hate. I don't fault you guys for anything in regards to enforcing rules, but I don't agree with some aspects of the new rules and won't abide by them.

If someone can come on here and admit to scamming and have nothing done, is OTM really going to ban me for warning people about him while doing nothing to him? If you want to know who I am talking about feel free to PM me because with the new rules I am no longer allowed to say Pages name in regards to this situation as apparently it would not be fair to Pages to say his name so I am going to refrain from saying Pages name. But if you want to know, PM me!

If a user is to come here and openly admit to scamming, they will be passed on to the Support Team immediately and investigated for the claims made. The post in question may be removed to avoid causing any unrest in the forums, but the information will be used to deal with the player in-game.

It has yet been done, you even posted on the topic in question, or a topic about it I forget. Either way every server has the "career scammers" who have been their over a year and nothing has been done. We have 0 faith in OTM to handle these situations so every server has taken to outcasting these individuals as an only way of handling them. This takes away the only defense we had.

You can say Pages's name, because you're not attempting to start an argument with them.

i dont break any forum rules... i may be breaking ingame rules but never forum rules
and if you ban me in game.. oh well i dont got a idevice to play on anymore

We try the best we can. Things happen from time to time. When things happen you do not agree to feel free to message moderators. They are here to talk about these problems. Moderators / admins are human after all. We learn from mistakes too.
If you are talking about topics where nothing happened at all. Than it might be my fault, because I get messages sometimes from people who want their own topic locked.

If you don't feel like messaging a moderator directly there is always a report button. When using this button all admins/moderators will be able to see the report (might be the quickest way to deal with something) but sometimes you want something more personal than I would suggest messaging someone directly. (Just want to note: keep messages friendly. I have had some serious hate mail in the past. that's not professional at all.)
