Hey the whole point of the luxury shop is that it's supposed to be expensive, you even need 20k just to look at the items. It's a premium shop for players who have spent their time collecting lots of gold and want something unusual to spend it on. It's not supposed to be a general store where everyone buys all their gear from, and if you look at the items they are unusual things like funny looking helms or offhand items, it doesn't sell the normal items such as armour sets, main hand weapons etc. all of which are gained elsewhere.
There is tons of awesome new items in the update that are much cheaper that the luxury shop items, and lots that can be gained from quests or enemy drops without paying any gold.
I agree with this.
The luxury shop just has more of a variety, and I think people are complaining because they won't be able to afford everything in the premium shop without laying real life cash out.
1.) The game needs to be funded. I don't need to back this up, we all know that.
2.) You shouldn't be able to afford all the premium shop items without having to pay some kind of fee, such as purchasing real life gold.
3.) All the high prices mean is that you want the item THAT bad, so you're willing to pay THAT amount of money.
Therefore, I believe that the item prices are fine.
Class restrictions I think should still be considered. I bought the rogue's offhand weapon from premium shop and it is better then my druid grand staff. Perhaps I'm not using a staff equivalent to my level, but still it seems a bit overpowered without proper class restrictions. But then again, without the offhand weapon the rogue would be a lot more powerful with it then a druid for example. Bracers sound good as long as they are in balance with the other classes, which I'm sure they will be.
I also stole this quote from another thread that admin posted on because there's been a lot of complaining...
Hey
Bear in mind after the update there will be level 80 to 90 players who will be able to get gold much more easily than is possible at current levels.
For these players the luxury shop is there to provide something expensive to spend their gold on. A bit like a designer handbag shop or expensive car dealer.
Luxury shop = high class. Don't expect to own everything in the game, its just there so you can set a goal if you're not willing to spend money on platinum. Those who do buy platinum fund the game that we all play on. This seems perfectly fair to me.
P.S. - Paddy luxury items are only sold in the store, that is why they're so special and expensive.
