Rogues use less elixers cause we Lvl faster, but as far as restos and idols go rogues use much more imo.

Use the right skills and stats and it's not necessary. But usually rogues want to use the highest dps path kill fastest.

Why is everyone comparing them they are different classes it's like saying a druid should be equal to a warrior it just isn't right if you feel like rangers should be the same as a rogue go ahead and play a rogue

There will never be class balance, but that doesnt mean they shouldnt look into trying to balance them better. Atm rogues blow all other classes away, so naturally they will be used as a benchmark. Rangers arent the only ones, all classes need to be looked at. Most rogues just exaggerate their issues so they dont get nerfed (look at what happend to mages when they got nerfed) so buff other classes (lots of good suggestions in the f&s forum which seem to go unnoticed because horses are more important).

If your version of class balance is classes dipping into another classes' roles then your vision is flawed. If rangers are able to have rogue dps my warrior needs nature's touch. You should not be able to perform another classes' main role as well if you don't share the same main role. Even if otm considers rangers main role to be dps they have the benefit of ranged combat, which should lower their dps anyways.

Yakat, u have ur vision that some support, others have their vision, ur not the one to say who's vision is flawed.

I think everyone is overlooking the obvious and simple solution:

Level all classes to end game and give them all pro equips.

Then you will always have the best (and worst lol) class.

Ok seriously there is another way to make classes equal besides modifying the current classes. That is to nerf the mobs/bosses so that the roles of more classes are required. If you think about it we keep getting better equips and mobs keep staying the same. Yet on this whole thread I haven't seen that approach mentioned.

Rangers are an "all round" class so will never be good in comparison to another class in what they specify in.
Not saying that they are balanced right within this but it's impossible to compare to another class for that reason.
We could compare rangers to every class individually in the role they perform and ranger would not top any.
That does not mean rangers are the weakest of all classes (except in pvp maybe) but they can out perform every class in another classes role that's not specific to them

I can tell you their 'all aroundness' isn't as rounded out as would be balanced and fair.
