looking to start on a server with good prices (chests 30k ea,lixes 1k ea,xps 3k ea, hastes 3k ea...)
NOT EPONA
Re: best server in economy?
#3Only Epona i guess
"Everything that is priced is cheap, only what money doesn't buy is really expensive, and whoever doesn't get it, will always be a miserable"
Re: best server in economy?
#4I really like Epona but I "Really Hate Skill Book Prices". Never seen firestorm less than 300k more often twice that.
I feel incomplete and can't be a REAL mage ( in my opinion ) until damn beer level 200. If I save every gold I get from level one on.
I suppose if I group or join clan I've a better chance but still it feels so out of reach.

#5Never seen firestorm for less than 300k in ah •~• . If skill and maybe some gear prices is the only thing keeping you away then I think you can still have a blast as long as it's not something you feel too strongly about. Then again I only ever used energy and XP lix on my mage which is very cheap compared to other classes so consumable prices might not be as big a deal as you think.
If you can get Peirce lure you will level quickly with any ranger or rogue especially if/ once they can use baras. I actually make gold by lixing usually. Remember fire bolt is your main skill as a mage even if ur an ice mage for that matter. I always put as many jewelery slots ask can towards fb 50/50 untill it gets there (using reasonable gear I find for cheap to fill in empty slots.) You might feel better about being a real mage after being the most op leveler even if you don't have that sweet FS, FB damage gear. Patience is also essentiel if you want to play on epona unless you got a lot of money to blow which doesn't seem like the case.

#7I'm slightly confused because in your signature you have only LVL 220 mages... But never the less I sincerely hope you pass on that gear because even at LVL 170 you don't need that many points to max your FB. Someone of lower level will get better use out of it. At level 170 you can put 35 points in FB so you only need 2 rings to max it out. Getting some jewelery to max out your fire attunement and FS, maybe even your ice shards will actually increase your damage more. Bob the mage actually made a table showing the DPS increases for different rings (in his fire mage guide) however it's for eg where you should be able to hot swap every skill to max so it' doesn't show when you should use your regular slots to max a skill.Yes this, I have four royal spider rings, two agy fb bracelets, one royal elements spider charm, osan firestorm neck on my 170 mage... ._. This next part is for anyone who might fall into the trap of either too many skill points in their jewelery or not enough.
Imo on your journey to being a real mage the first step is max FB, second as soon as you can max fire bolt max your other skills, FS will most likely give the most damage, then attunement. Don't forget to keep your lures leveled to bring mobs resistances to zero including including secondary lures if your leveling with someone who makes good use of them, having a lure ring to hot swap is always a good idea to maximise spell power. If you can you might want to max either ice shards or incinerate, but it's not as important as the next step. Cooldown, direct damage, fire magic and focus gear. Your going to want to pick up these items at any point in your journey but they are essential when you can't increase the damage of your main skills by putting points into them.
Re: best server in economy?
#8I swap to max the other skills including attune and firebolt. Its an alt so not much investment in it yet until endgame since Bele system doesnt exactly let me go overboard without stunting my chances for gear on main. Thats when I'll start with the proper gear. Also as you can see yes I have made tons of mages already no need to tell me that. o.o and tbh there arent many rings besides spider that you could use since it adds direct damage which is a great damage boost. Good emberdrake bracelets and recast are at 185+ so not there yet. Also bele fire mages are basically non existent and our banks are stacked with spider gear so there arent any other "nub mages" to give it to.I'm slightly confused because in your signature you have only LVL 220 mages... Also, its not on signature because I ran out of signature space. I had to leave off like 4-5 endgame toons to save space so put mainly only the most well known 220 ones per server.
