And where to buy it. I just bought it at an auction

Ya you have to buy it from other players. Onyx axe drops from Blackstone mobs at the gardens let in la and the obsidian axe which is slightly better drops from the Blackstone boss who spawns in the same area. It's easiest if you just buy it from characters who already have the drop. If you level to 120 you can get the adamant axe which is the next one you want to get.

Onyx/Obsidian weapons drop from the Blackstone boss. Unless you can get a group of players together to defeat the boss, you'll need to try and find a player who is selling an axe (which may be partially used up).

Alternatively, you can purchase the Adamant axe from the NPC vendor in the Otherworld (right by the edge of the lava zone).

I'm pretty sure you can't trade used obsidian weapons. Once it has procked once it becomes no trade. Also I've never seen an onyx weapon drop from the boss. Only obsidian, the onyx weapons I've only seen drop randomly (with a very low drop rate) from the mobs that spawn around the boss.
