While the new trade system has largely prevented scamming, it has not eliminated it. A clan member was scammed in a trade as he trusted the other player and did not check what was traded when he clicked ok to confirm trade. The other player shouted to trade a heroic ammy for his heroic haste glove. But during the trade, the rogue player put in a golden ammy instead of a heroic ammy he shouted to trade and my clan member only realised this after the trade. So, please make sure you are getting what the other player agreed to trade with you before you click ok as many items look alike.

The old way of scamming during transfer is still possible so be very careful who you ask to do transfer for you. Even a clan member can scam you in a transfer and you should avoid asking a new clan member to do transfer for you. Chief and Guardians are safer bet in this respect.

Well I'm sorry for your clan mate. However, the "old way of scamming is still possible" does not apply. During trades there is a specific place to re-check what you are trading. You should only click "ok" when you are convinced that you are okay with the trade. This has less to do with scamming and more with poor judgement/too trusting/too impatient. While the old trade system had flaws in the system, the current only is only flawed by human error and is not something OTM can or should interfere with.

The difference between heroic gold and silver / normal could be changed maybe.

Normal = same as it is now
Silver = Silver colored drop shadow behind item
gold = Gold colored drop shadow behind item
heroic = green colored drop shadow behind item

maybe, but still if your trading, check before you buy..., it's simple... don't let the scammers in...lol

I've had a few wanting to try my account saying I've never played as a warrior or druid, can i try yours... idiots..lol

Yeah, I agree with ds - the ultimate solution is to alter every item so that it looks different; in this case what has been suggested is changing background color or something in correspondance.

I think trade window is fine, it clearly says to check what you are trading for.

Your clan member should feel lucky it was a Golden Rejuv Ammy and not a Greater Twinsoul Necklace..

While I have not traded too much in this game the few times I have it's been a fairly simple easy and painless process. This is nobody's fault but your friends, he should have known better to check the trade screens. The system is fine as it is there is no need to improve it just because someone is too lazy to click to see what they are getting.

Maybe the only thing to be added could be an actual list of what is being traded in words. This would be much easier than changing all the looks. For example, anc linen gloves look exactly like heroic gloves. There is no way you could mistake "Ancient Linen Gloves" for "Heroic Gloves of Haste". Of course even with that, some rather dull people will still be scammed but a lot less.
