Frozen armor (for Mages) flawed

#1
Hi,
I finally got my Frozen Mage gloves this weekend. I was very excited. Until I saw the stats. They add some Energy, but not Focus. Were they designed pre-update? Now, I am mostly Focus, for the amount of energy I consume, but ALSO for the extra damage that a high Focus adds to all my skill attacks.

Also, they list an extra amount of FIRE damage?!? Why is this? They are called Frozen Armour pieces. Wouldn't it just make since to add Ice damage. So that we can more effectively kill The Lava Lord and The dragon some day, having the Ice damage help to kill it faster? It just makes since to me.

So, I switched back to my Diamond gloves, mostly for the Focus they add.

Please fix this,

Agreed, if all the pieces give energy instead of focus it will be a huge hit to damage/healing.

Only reason I can see to have fire damage on the gear is to help negate some of the bosses fire resistance. Kind of makes sense but would like to know the rationale of having fire bonus using ice.

I agree. I already mentioned this in beta. Energy and HP bonuses are from a different time when stats meant nothing but adding to energy/hp pools.
But admin responded that it would stay this way so that diamond armor doesn't become obsolete.

So diamond armor doesnt become obsolete? That is ridiculous!

So they made up diamond armor, which is BUYABLE WITH GOLD, and make glacial armor obsolete instead? Smooooth. There is plenty of time to wear diamond while searching for ure meteor/glacial pieces. I get the feeling more and more that the player base has been ripped off over and over again concerning this update and the way things have een implemented.

Yea, I was looking forward to selling my Diamond gear to people without it, and getting some of my investment back. Now, not so much.
