I am trying to do the chess quest, but since the update, it has been taking a long time. Has anyone done the quest since the first big update? So far I have found all but the queen.

The Bandit Camp master drops rooks and pawns;
The Crookback master drops white bishops and pawns;
The Norse master drops white knights and pawns;
The Dustwither Master drops White Kings.

I have not been able to locate the white queen yet. Please help. Thanks.

I think the Chessmaster in Dustwither drops Queens and Kings now. I completed the quest and then gave away all my extra pieces before the update (it took me forever btw). SInce the update I have seven White Queens now (gave away one earlier today) and the only chessmaster I have killed very many times is the dustwither one... Soooo, I am guessing that he is your man! Keep trying!

I got the queen from the chessmaster but not the knights... Anyone in Gwydion willing to give me a king and two knights?

White Queen & Rooks drop from the Harry Camp on Northern Penn.

What's the reward for the quest?

A decent helm for any noob character under lvl 30. If you do the chess piece quest in yer teens-20's it's a helm that can last you a good while till ancient.
