Selfishness or greed?

So I'm still Farley new to the game and I'm still struggling to level up from 28 but that's not what this post is really about. So I'm strolling around in Arawn searching for some beasties to kill and I come across a dragon. Knowing it would be very much impossible to take on alone I choose to shout out for some assistance. So after a few seconds a large group of players, mostly 100+ arrive. Obviously being the one who found and notified others of the dragon I ask to join the group to attempt to kill the dragon and earn experience. Unfortunately I was ignored by ever player and cast aside. They began to attack the dragon and even though I was the one who found and notified others I was left out of the fight. Id like to know if this is a regular thing that happens in the game or did I just come across the few selfish players?

Thats just how the game works, thats why you can create or join a clan so you can have backup to kill bosses although this will probabbly lead to clan battles.

So you think you should have equal shot at the drop because youve found something you have no chance of killing eh? You should realize those players probably spent pots and deffinatly spent idols killing that drag, which means real money, but of course you should be entitled to a drop chance when you havent spent a thing and at a low lvl cant really be of any help killing it. In fact all low lvls should just run around spotting things they cant kill, since after all they should be equally enititled to those drops that other players spent money to get too.

condescension is never helpful. I wasn't looking for the drop, merely the chance to gain experience. I'm not sure what you were taught growing up but I was always taught to work as a team and to help those in need. But I guess my parents and most others were wrong in teaching us this.

Yes I remember reading in forbes that all successful CEOs and business owners help those in need.

Allow me to imbue knowledge on you, you wouldnt have gotten much xp, as thats based of whoever in the group gets the kill, if they were 100+ and youre talking the baby drag or 90, no xp. The 140 maybe some. The reason they didnt let you in is about drops, thats what theyre after.

And my parent taught me to stand on my own two feet and not be a moocher.

I am in Arawn but was not involved; however, given your level you probably dont understand game mechanics yet. If you are 20 levels below a mob you wont do any damage. If they let you in the group it would have been no different than if they killed it themselves and then gave you the drop. Oh but you would have taken up a spot in the group that someone who could do damage would use. I will bet the group was not trying to be rude as much as they just realized that involving you would be a waste.
If you were a druid then you could have healed someone but then you dont need to be in the group to do that. I have many times stayed outside a group and took care of adds or done some healing and a group member will say thanks by trading me an item but that is rare.
Welcome to Arawn. Dont take it personally.

Forgive me if I'm wrong but don't most high level executives, big business men and women and global company's give huge amounts to charity? Bill gates for example has numerous charities. I wasn't looking for someone to give me gold or items. I was looking for EXPERIENCE. I appreciate they had there reasons but they were never explained, I was just ignored.
