Okay so I recently just hit level 80....1 and I decided I want to start saving up for the diamond gear. I recently made a trip to my local diamond dealer to do a little window shopping and price a few future items. I thought it was a nice little touch that I got to once again choose the color that I wanted, but as soon as that happened, I quickly found myself closing the screen (due to what I thought was a glitch on the game's part). I open the shop back up to realize it was no glitch, but the endgame gear for me would cost a whomping 322,400g to purchase all the pieces that I wanted. This doesn't include the 150k I wanted to spend on the crown that I would also require. It was only about 10 levels ago that I purchased my Magical Book of Fairytales for 200k. Was a good investment? Yes. Was it needed? At the time, yes. Did it make me go broke? YES!

Now that I bought that, I find it very hard to make money to buy the gear that I so badly need. So my question to the forums is....HOW DO YOU MAKE A DECENT AMOUNT OF GOLD IN SUCH A GAME? Even if I can buy a piece at a time I would be happy, but it seems the only two pieces I can buy, I don't want.

Well first off I wouldn't even consider buying diamond gear from the vendor, frozen has become so common now that almost all classes are selling their old diamond gear. That should result in at least a 25% discount.

It's still alot of gold, so it's time to start farming, or continue leveling and acquire your gold that way. My personal opinion is now is not the time to make any purchases that will make you have no gold available for whatever is to come with the Halloween patch

I could care less about the patch. I don't want the broom that makes me go zoom zoom. I want the broom that makes me float (the 10k one). Also, I already told Admin that I will not be purchasing an ugly skeleton charm or a ugly witch charm. Those are out of the question.

As a druid you don't see many people selling their diamond gear as the diamond gear is the endgame gear for us. I've only seen about 6 druids with the gear on Mabon. Most made their money before the patch was introduced.

Don't think about total gold needed, that's suicidal.

The fact is, even as a Druid, you need to aim for the pieces that are most important. Say the Diamond Robe, or Legs, make one of them yer goal. When you get them you will then make gold/lvls faster etc etc for each piece achieved, so you just need to get the snowball rolling.

And then keep scanning the shout channels for people selling, many Druids sell their diamond like total noobs when they hit frozen and then seriously regret the fact. Try to catch one of these frozen Druid honeymooners unaware if that doesn't work, realize that you will make gold at a much faster clip each level gained. If you truly choose to farm gold, which I wouldn't at lvl 80, you can do it quickly in any area with mob's well below yer level, causing you no downtime. I would say farm in SV(you you can lvl too) and kill the rare mob's that drop the Amber, Saph, Ruby, Diamond pieces and then sell those to players. You can easily get upwards of 10k for meteoric weapon diamonds (Diamond Soul Orb, Faerie Diamond(Faerie Queen in SV), Diamond Crystalhorn(Purple Unicorns in SV), Diamond Boar Tusk(Gold Tusk Boars or Gruzzle in SV), Diamond Spiritstar(Mini Boss or 5 star Wisps), Diamond Demonstone (Demonologist in SV).

Thats how I made my money when I wass a little Druid, and since you may or may not want to complete yer diamond item quests (warden weapon, meteroic weapon, frozen wep) or not for a while since yer gunning for Diamond, I wouldn't worry about saving for yer own sets until yer ready for them.

To make gold, you have to be patient, unlike me.
I'm making money faster than ever, now that I've joined this awesome clan.
Since you're a druid, you have a higher chance to be in boss fights, which drop like 500-1000 gold.

Druids are really needed in clans as they are required for most boss fights. Once your in a clan check red bosses and call some clan members to help. They drop about 500-1.5k gold per boss, depending on group size. These bosses take anywhere from 45 seconds to 5 minutes so it can potentially be super fast money. You can also sell the drops like rems, tabs, upgrades, and gems for generous amounts of gold as well. On my world I am able to sell rems and tabs anywhere from 2k to 25k per rem/tab depending on which piece of armor.
