The kill of the game

One thumb has seen many complaints about ksing, and the forum is filled with posts about it.

First of all this post is not to offend anyone but is to state my strong opinion, in which is based on my experience and knowledge, states some facts that some people may find to be offensive and may take the wrong way.

The first class of people who complain about ksing are typically lower-levels who spend no time or money trying to become better, therefore, they simply suck when it comes to bosses and that's why they are being ksed.

The next class of people who complain about ksing are weaker clans. There is competition. That's the fun in the game, and people who just want to take take take and never work will always lose.

Then you have the wars. Like I said its all about your level, so level up so you can compete! Instead of sitting on your ass complaining on the forums until one thumb fixes it and ruins the fun in competition for us who work to compete.

Taking away ksing will simply kill the game. That's it. It won't be Celtic heroes no more. I love competition and that's why I love this game. There is absolutely no point in lvling other then to meet level requirements if there isn't ksing or competition.

I don't care who you are or where your from, but you haven't seen ksing as bad as sulis has. And we have some of the biggest spenders in our world for that specific reason. Wizzyman, level 155 warrior, has been leveling his rogue and plans on making it 155 also. However I am now convincing him to stop leveling as soon as I read the post where admin states there will be no ksing next update. There currently isn't any point to level past 150 if there's not gunna be competition, and there's no argument that can be made againsed me for that fact.

One thumb, admin, whoever reading this, your going to lose money like you haven't lost before. People like wizzyman won't invest money to be the highest level for no reason. There going to meet whatever level cap they need to (for weapons armor quests etc).

Big mistake for one thumb to listen to the low level complainers who don't spend money, and the clans who don't put there best foot forward to be the best they can be.

One thing I want to make clear, it's not necessary to spend money to be good, but it Is necessary to try and become best you can be even without spending, because the beauty of this game in my opinion is the competition. Spending money just makes leveling 4x faster, you CAN get to 150 without elixers! If you don't like it maby this isn't your game.

I guess we cant wait and see what happens. If this sucks as bad as you say it does, I have faith that they will change it for the better. I am quite sure that they see what is going on with the current system and that warrants the changes. As you speak of high levels leaving and taking their money with them, I am sure they have enough confidence in their product to replace that revenue with fresh blood. This change could possibly be from enough players leaving and them realizing they need to get ahead of the problem before it is too late.

In terms of genuine clan v clan competition, personally I think there is going to be more competition and more tactics, because now you have to decide whether to engage earlier than you would like to get a lock, but then risk getting wiped because you don't have enough people yet, vs waiting and potentially losing the boss to someone who engages earlier.

It just adds an extra dimension to the competitive aspect, now it's not 100% just dps, it's now also going to be how good is your tank, healers etc.

I agree with original poster, especially about admin listening too much to free loading complainers and not enough to the people that pay their damn salarys, more people is great but its the platers that make the game possible.

This has a 95% chance of massive backfire.

Admin I completely disagree with you on this. All that does is make people use more idols. I am already gettin bored of killing same bosses over and over again. And I won't be wasting any idols or pots or buying any plat to waste idols or pots if you suck all the competition out of the game. Currently it doesn't matter really cause epic has gone dead so we don't have many clan vs clan fights atm anyway and since that happened I have noticed I have been playing less and less slowly but surely. Because where else is the competition. Currently all I have left to do is get some records which with 588 spear I am 3 of max skill damage record and 10 off max melee record for rogue. After that's done I duno what else there is to do.

It may also improve the game which is 100% our focus. We are not designing content to increase player spending, we do it to make the game more fun, varied, bigger etc.

I think it's bs how all of you always write about the players that support this game by spending bla bla bla. Everyone that plays this game deserves a say, not just because they buy plat or don't.

What I don't understand is how people complain that OTM doesn't edit the game towards the plat buyers liking. The same people also complain that OTM are 'cash cows' and are just doing everything to boost their income. Imo y'all should make your mind up and get off their back.

I'm not sure how this will turn out but I don't think the current drop-distribution method is right (more dps wins). I'm hoping it's for the best and I'm atleast willing to give it a shot. If I don't like it when it's out, I'll be sure to let you know :D

I don't agree with out right ksing personally but if 2 clans wanna fight for a boss when they both there at start then why not?? There is no other competition in game. Making it a lock is not competition it's more fun havin the fear u might lose boss then knowing the other clan can't do jack about it. But I have expressed my feelings personally I hope you have more ways I make the game more competitive soon. Otherwise what's the point of mmo :/

this will not make it more fun, it will force everyone to camp 24/7 for one boss in fear that if they dont someone else will

sounds pretty boring to me

also with all the camping that will happen, lower leveled clans that get some bosses now will get none because the bosses are camped

it will also cause a bigger monopoly on drops, which means higher prices

instead of the best group getting the boss, the rogue that clicks quick strike first gets the boss

with this in effect, a group of lvl 130s could take aggra.... they could just pot and idol away and take a boss that is not theirs to take
