The skeleton king boss is far too difficult

On Epona we had several groups of very high lvl player and we ended giving up. It hits so hard that we can't kill it in time and our healers end up getting distracted by his skeleton guards because they respawn way too fast. His dmg needs to be lowered or there needs to be less skeletons surrounding him or something. What is the point of spending so much time on him if nobody can kill him to witness the hard work you put into his drops ( which we don't even know about yet guessing its a pumpkin sword /weapon ). When we get as many high lvl players as we did and give up he is probably over powered. This is just what we have witnessed on Epona.

I would also agree with this im Z from mabon leader of elite we killed him but his aoe need a range nerf and s small dmg nerf our druids could not heal our tank with out being hit by his aoe we also had fire wards and muti tanks and muti druids this guy is by far alot harder then agg btw dont know u wanted it to be this way but i agree and im sure im speaking for most ppl on our server its hard but shouldn't have to use 100$ worth the plat as a clan to kill

Rapture eve... The 3rd strongest clan in the game, cannot kill it either. We even brought our ally clans.... This boss is WAY too OP... It hit a 4k+ on our level 150 tank. That's just stupid.
Also apparently my 80% camo doesn't work well against it since they where jumping all over me from far away... What the hell...

same in crom we had nukegurl [best player #1] and her whole team then we had my group and idoled it like crazy this us becomming a horrible game i dont see why they are making it to where only the highest lvls can kill but it takes 2 or 3 groups to kill a boss. brimg back something like frostbelly where he is hard but a team can actually kill please this is not fair

King Dreadbone is harder than Aggragoth. But at least OTM has added a new way of fighting bosses which now truly require more strategy than the usual "boss hits tank, healers heal the tank, dps kills boss" way we all have been doing for the last 1.5 years.
Kudos to OTM for adding a truly epic boss. He is level 140 mob so that he targetted for level 130-150 players, but I think he is actually a level 160-170 in terms of difficulty.

King Dreadbone is harder than Aggragoth. But at least OTM has added a new way of fighting bosses which now truly require more strategy than the usual "boss hits tank, healers heal the tank, dps kills boss" way we all have been doing for the last 1.5 years.

Yet the drops are for players level 90-100.

Bosses should be able to be done with out having to use plat there is no Strategy that keeps your druids out of the aoe and they way they got the game everyone knows high end druids dont have tons of hp to be getting spammed by aoes adds not rly the issue there's things u can do to get less or take less dmg from them

but that aoe rly strong and his 10s sheild bash is nice wish i had a sheild bash that had 10s cd

Hehe true. The OTM item designers really need to play this game. They haven't learned from their prior mistake with the rare weapon drops.

There is a strategy in killing him. This boss isn't meant to be zerged like Rockbelly. We had one when we fought him tonight and we will only get better at it. The hardest part isn't the AoE of the adds or his AoE fireball. It's the paralysis that freezes the tank and difficult to keep aggro.

We went back and did it actually. It was not too bad, much easier for us than Aggy, but then we have killed aggy more than a dozen times as a clan. I will not spoil how to handle this boss, but I will give a hint that will make it obvious for clans who have beaten Aggy. We got licked as Vprime metioned. But, as I am sure many of you know, bosses are much harder when all kinds of people are involved, unknown variables, people not using idols or cooperating...
Anyhow, my advice for all of you is handle this boss exactly like Aggragoth.. However many teams you use for aggragoth, do it the same way. Its no problem.
I will say what is a problem to me that represents a real threat to this game is people on day one of a release recommending that the devs change things/make things easier.
Heads up on loot. For us, he dropped three items, all items were 130+ req. They were all very fine items, every bit as good as Aggy drops.

this guy is way too hard. we tried dragging him but couldnt get away from adds, witch are ten times the str of a blackstone master, and from what ive seen of the drops so far he isnt worth the effort. otm needs to decrease the adds hp, leave boss alone hes fine. and yes, its total *** we have to basically pay so much to kill this guy, id be happy buying ten super combo lixes each time i fight him due to how long it tales to kill or something, butwith adds taking out three dpsers to kill it and then im dead by the time idols cool off or they fly back it defeats the need to buy the plat to bee able to kill. i get the need to keep ppl buying plat and spending it, ive dumpped hundreds into this game and dont regret it for a second, but seriously, tone down the adds some so this guy aint a plat spending frenzy, in the long run we will spend more money on him if we think we can kill him, otherwise ull just have a big halloween decoration in hagvar's side yard.
