As part of our Samhain celebrations, we thought it might be rather fun to hold a screenshot competition so you can show us how you’ve been enjoying this latest event.
Similar to our other screenshot competitions all you have to do is take a picture whilst you’re playing the game and then send it in to us. Couldn’t be simpler!
For this competition we’re going to have three separate categories, which means that no matter what level your character is you can still take part.
The categories are as follows:
- General Screenshot
- Transformation Charms Screenshot
- Samhain Boss Screenshot
For the Transformation Charms category we want to see some interesting pictures which involve you and your friends wearing the various transformation charms that are available. Whether that be the Crookback and Faerie charms, or the brand new Samhain charms, we want to see images which showcase the charms in all their glory!
Finally, the General category is for pictures which don’t quite fit in the other two. These pictures can be Samhain related, but they don’t have to be. We just really want to see some fun and inventive pictures from you all.
When the competition finishes we will select our 10 favourite images from each category, after which we will let the community vote for the pictures which they feel should win. The 10 shortlisted images in each category will all receive a prize, and the winner of each category will receive a transformation charm of their choice!
“But how does one enter this wonderful competition?!” I hear you cry. It’s easy! Just follow these simple rules:
1. Take a picture on your device. This can be achieved by pressing the power (lock) button and the Home button at the same time.
2. When taking a picture, ensure the option ‘Show Names’ is disabled. This is so a picture isn’t cluttered by player names, mob names, NPC names etc.
3. Find your picture in your device’s Photos app (the one which has a sunflower as the icon). Press the icon which gives you some options to share your picture (it’s the one that’s next to the trash can icon).
4. Select ‘Mail’.
5. Address the e-mail that pops up to [email protected], and make sure the subject is ‘Samhain 2012 Screenshot Competition’.
6. In the body of the e-mail, above your image, make sure you include the following information, otherwise your entry will not count:
- The category you are entering.
- The name and World of one of your characters.
Make sure that you include the name and World of one of your characters, and that the subject is ‘Samhain 2012 Screenshot Competition’, otherwise your entry will not count!
You can send in as many pictures as you like, but please make sure that you only send one picture at a time. If an e-mail contains more than one picture it may be disregarded from the competition.
The competition will be close on November 14th, 2012, which gives you two weeks to get your photos in.
And that’s it! We can’t wait to see what kind of pictures you send it, and we hope you enjoy the competition!
Terms and Conditions:
The following terms and conditions apply to this competition:
1. Any images which are submitted as part of this competition must not contain, or reference, any material which is libellous, defamatory, obscene, indecent, harassing, or threatening. Any such images will be disregarded from the competition.
2. Images must be submitted to the correct e-mail address with the subject ‘Samhain 2012 Screenshot Competition’. Any images submitted to a different e-mail address, or with a different subject, will be disregarded from the competition.
3. Images must be submitted via e-mail, and they must contain the category which the user is entering, a character name, and World within the body of the e-mail. Any submissions which do not contain this information will be disregarded from the competition.
4. An entrant to the competition is defined as the character name which appears in the body of the e-mail.
5. The shortlist for each category will be chosen by the administrators, and their decision is final.
6. The administrators reserve the right to cancel or amend the prize for this competition without notice.
7. The administrators reserve the right to amend the rules of the competition or these terms and conditions without notice.
8. The administrators reserve the right to disqualify any entrant if they have reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any rules of the competition or these terms and conditions.
9. Any information which is submitted as part of this competition will be treated in accordance with the Celtic Heroes Privacy Policy, which can be viewed in full by clicking here.
