I made Ailwen (my previous alt) as a joke for a couple of my friends(Aileron and Ceinwen). The joke was that Ailwen was their game baby. Later I decided that I loved being a ranger and that this was going to be my main account; it was no big deal. Fast forward a six months, now we are in Otherworld and seeing as Ailwen and Aileron both seem very similar it was very difficult to tell who was who when we communicate to other players. It got to the point where druids were healing me on major bosses instead of Aileron and making lose a few heals which can be awfull on Aggragoth. One of my buddies (I dont remember who) came up with one solution, it was briliant. It was to tell Support Ailwen was a Vulgar word in another language, in this case it was Bakuba (I seriously don't know if this is a legit language). So I went with it, and after a day my name was changed to Awen1. Things seemed to work perfectly; noone was affected in the process, and it seemed like only possitive results. The next day I went to log on and I got an error message saying "Account dissabled, please contact support." Okay...I was confused about this, so I logged onto my alt and asked support what the deal was. I Got a message back saying "The reason you have been given a formal warning and your account will be suspended for three days. This name was only allowed as others reported it as being offencsive which means you used alts or other players where (I assume support ment to say were*) involved in this." At first I was okay with this but after I thought more about it the more perplexed I became. I failed to see anything about this in the terms of service. (I'm not saying it's not there, I just didn't see anything) This is the thing I was most mad about. There are people on servers that hack the game that has litterally zero negative effects against them. I did something that effected NOBODY and I get banned, while people on our server, Spartacux for example, use wall hacks and dont have anything happen to them. There has been countless screenshots from many people and this is looked over as nothing. What a load of crap. Yes, I did fool the support system, but seriously! How is what I did considered worse than using wall hacks. I'm extremely ticked about this and I honestly do feel bad about lying to support and I am truly sorry for it, but come on!

I considered this, but I thought I saw Admin state somewhere that they only change names that are reported with vulgar meanings.

This ones on the devs, instead of forcing people to trick you why not just offer a service thats been asked for since at least last feburary? Its another opportunity for you to make money, (charge plat) and cannot be that hard to implement as every other game ive played offered this service.

I certainly hope it's not a permanent ban. It's a little bit funny actually.

However, I do question Support how they ban people without a due process. The account got banned because someone reported the name as being vulgar?
That is just hearsay. Where's the proof?

If it was suspended because a support case was made under a false pretense, shouldn't there just be a warning? I mean scammers, account hijackers and game modders get off scot-free, and this is instant punishment?

Couldn't have said it better myself. It's been three days, so the fact that i'm banned isn't why I'm mad, (It should be unlocked anytime now) it's the way that I got banned that upsets me.

Honestly I don't think admin, it dev, it support are very bright in some areas. Yea they made a game thats fun, but most people can learn how to do that in highschool nowadays. People who cheat and and mod games by changing code dont get in trouble or warned or nothing, people who scam get just a warning. Seriously this is a messed up logic or sense of trying to create order. Absolutely mental. Like come on. On our server admin changed this guys name twice. His name was Irishfighter. Got it changed to Blackstone. Then got it changed to IrishFighter with a capital F this time. Now huh. That's odd. Biggest scammer known in the Server Morrigan gets a luxury everyone else doesn't? Wtf is with this? Some rumors were said because admin asked this person to return items and if he did so his name would be changed. That seems very likely. So apparently admin rewards the insanely wrong if they do a little right and punishes the amazing good that do a little bad. This is probably the most messed up logic in any MMO ive ever played. Woot go admin, not.
