Hey thanks for checking this out.
Hey so I'm hoping some smart people can help me solve some problems with an idea I will be implementing in Rhiannon before to long.

I'm starting a lottery in Rhiannon and its going to be quite complicated to make this a success.
Here is the original post so you can read how it works.
Please do not post your ideas to improove it on that post please. If you have ideas to improove the lottery idea then please post them here.

Question 1- do you think the way I'm doing the lottery numbers is a good idea?
My thoughts-I think it should be 4 numbers that are guessed and I'm pretty happy with this way of doing it.

Question 2-since we can't accept tickets with an automated system and we need the lottery team members to accept money and record the 4 digit number that the player has guessed, we need a way for everyone to share their list after the end of the week or month or whenever we can get the lists together. Hopefully we will get a full list together every few days if not every day. I need to find a way for all parts of the team to be able to update a shared list.
What's a good way to do that?
Also. If someone guesses the number 5000 and then someone guesses. 1200 and then someone guesses 8000 then the list would look like this.

5000- player A
1200- player B
8000- player C

We need the list to look like this

1200- player B
5000- player A
8000- player C

Because then this would allow us to scroll through the list numerically and find the closest guessed number
And this will leave no room for mistakes.
If there is a list of 500-1000 people then this will be very necessary.

So the big question... How do you suggest we do the list?

Question 3- do you think 2k per ticket is a good price? Think of the noobs, we are trying to get everyone involved.

Question 4- do you think it should be weekly drawing or monthly drawings?
Or should we do both and have two lists?
Weekly lottery tickets cost -2k?
And the monthly lottery tickets cost 5k?

Question 5- do you think our 20% cut is too big?
If you do the math that is not terribly much profit per team member..
We are each getting like 5 % so we each make like 100 gold per ticket... Not much..
Should it be higher? Should it be lower?

Please help me make this a success!

It is way too confusing. I think you are expecting more people than what will actually happen on a weekly basis. You could try to just do 1-100 and roll the dice normally.

Also, I don't believe this was addressed, can two people pick the same number?

For question 2 - your own personal website would work perfectly.

I made a website for EternalSin and 1 thread can be edited by any moderators of that specific forum, but the rest just by me.

So if we each had a list, we'd post the list there and edit in which player guessed what. Getting it into numerical order would have to be done manually, though.

I thought about this a lot and that was actually my original idea to do it like normal dice. 1-100
But that wouldn't work, because over time I'm expecting to build up a big player base of over 100 players buying tickets. Hopefully if we win Best MMO app then we will get a lot of people and then possibly getting over 1000 tickets in either the month or the week.. Not sure how that will work yet.

Also, I wanted 4 digits so people would have a better chance of not choosing the same number as someone else.
If two players choose the same number than they slip the pot if they win. ( but the odds of that happening is slim )

If that is a good idea to do it like that then how could we re use the list every time a new lottery started? And how could we keep the old list so people could check it out later to see the history.

Im expecting 30 to 50 players the first time and then an addition of 10-20 players each time after that. And I'm also begining to think a two week roll or once a month roll would be better than a weekly roll

You could use tha app "Groupie", and make it a private room.

The biggest problem i find with this is trust for example ppl might thing ur playing favoritism and giving the collected gold to a friend or even an alt. For this to truly work imo would need to create a seperate website with a few programs running one program to take in each guess of players another program to randomly pick a number at a set time and shows the number on the website. Also would be cool to link the guess with the players name and displays the name of the winner so all can see who the winner is for that week.

Trying to run a clan is already enough for me buddy, but I'm happy to help out

- A pre-made list of 11-9999 would be good, and just edit in the number guessed by each player. Simple way to carry over the pre-made list.. Copy and paste. Always have a blank document or notes page with the 11-9999 list on it.

Write it on your 'Notes' on your iDevice. Then it can be accessible by PC or by Device. If each member of the team did it that way, then you could have a List editable by multiple people (whether it be on Groupie or your own website), and each member of the team can go through and write in what bids they have recorded

In terms of trust.. That is a good question but I think most people know the higher level players that will likely be in the team and players such as infinity.. The dude payed out a Camo Charm on dicing.. He's very trustable. Although saying this, any new players don't know us well enough to trust us. However, here's a way in which you'd prevent cheating.

Bets are in - the list of the bets is displayed for All betters to see. In the post that shows all of the bets, it will say a time and date at some point within the next 2 days, in which the dice will be rolled. Hopefully, some people want to come and view the dice being rolled, in which case they can vouch that he has only rolled once. Then he will roll the dice, post the results up with the bets, and post the winner.

That is the most scam-free way I can think of doing it.
