I am tired if these ppl complaining about mages and their powerful energy shield
So i came up with away to make it sound better
Energy shield is basically ad dising hp to a mage. Mages arent suppose to have lots of hp so the shield acts as their boost of hp
Im not sure for rogue ranger
But druids have their abund to give more hp and every shield of bark
When ppl duel mages they are like plz dont use shield
Its real annoying to me as they know mages have low hp if ur the right built mage.

I think people who add handicaps to duels are silly.

lol today this lvl 46 mage killed me(127, support build) and proceeded to say i sucked and the like. i proceeded to leave arena and use an alteration. i then killed this mage repeatedly, 1 firebolt per kill. the mage left, without saying anythig. i laughed. handicaps are builds as well. i get challenged by 135+ often, merely because im a mage.

If your fighting a mage, try to use any shields and other tank items until you get through their energy shield. Then allow them to use ice shards on you, before switching to a dps gear. at max.
why would you treat energy shield any different than health? It's just a mage's non-renewable abundance.

And yet another post...

Energy shield is simply a mage's abundance. What's been done to the shield cannot be undone with heals or regen.

The user takes the same amount of damage, only to the shield, not health.

So if a mage is up against a melee mob and equips a shield, the energy shield from the mage lasts longer than that of a mage with a golden blade. The energy shield of a mage wearing first tier warden armor is not as great as the energy shield of the same mage wearing frozen celestial.

Armor and resistances do affect energy shield. But think of energy shield as a non renewable abundance.

I also think setting rules for duels is silly.. I don't care if a Mage uses Energy Shield when duelling, makes it more intense. Double-energy shielding kinda sucks when someone does it, but that's up to them

Energy shield is not at all like abundance! Absolute idiots -.-! If you recast abundance 500 times you get +1 k hp if you recast energy shield 500 times you get +500k hp. It is a completely op skill for dueling. For leveling ita alright just needs a tweak for duels I think. I can beat all mages almost if they only cast energy shield once. Almost all mages lvl 140+ can beat me if they cast twice -.-!

Now your being really ignorant. Think of it this way. It is a heal that can go beyond your maximum health. It also costs a f**k ton more energy. Happy? But in the end, let's all agree that it is nothing but more health. We say it's abundance because it extends your health. At least read how I describe it.

And for the record, a pre-shield is considered by many a cheat, for a reason. I'm not saying two shields in one fight is not fair, I'm saying that specifically before the fight, if you cast energy shield, that's cheating.

I get more pissed at druids and mages hopping on their brooms and taking a ride during the duel so druids can heal or mages can wait for sigils.
