How long must we wait?

I understand that OTM is trying to get all the bugs out and make it perfect but how long is that gonna take. People have been talking about how finally we are getting an update but its been months since people started saying that. And then when we ask for a little info on the update to try and keep ourselves intrested people just say wait and see. Well that would be fine if it was coming out in a week or something but literally we could be waiting several more months before we get this update. From the time we learned about this updates creation till now most other games have had at least one update created and released but we still haven't gotten the one we waited nearly a year for before even hearing about it. I get that there were holiday updates but those were mostly small. Celtic Heroes is a good mmo but it will only be great when there is some kind of realistic update consistency. Excuses are over we just want the update. And this isnt one of those stupid ( or els ill quit ) posts its simply that the update should be out soon so please do everything in your power to at least get it too apple. Especially because apple takes enough sweet time as they always do to approve content.

Let me explain what happens in beta.

1. We look at all the new content for ourselves. 1-2 days
2. We test environments/collisions. 2-3 weeks maybe more if its big like the new update. So 4 weeks. (Plus otm has to fix them, sometimes days othertimes hours to fix them)
3. Stats, mobs, skills, items. 1-2 weeks.

The main problem is that when one problem is solved we have to all test it individually to make sure it is truly fixed. Then what may happen is that this may cause another bug. It continues around in a large circle. Sometimes old bugs come back to haunt us.

Environment is a large time consumer because you have to literally check every nook and cranny for any misplaced graphic. I know i, personally, have taken over 800 pics since beta started. That gives you an idea of all the graphics and environmental problems. Not to mention helping people with other testing. And the number of repetitive tasks of beta. Not all will be solved in the time given so we are always required to try and test new and "improved" things. Some old bugs include items being displayed as chickens or iris'. We do try to perfect in the shortest amount of time possible. We don't always fix every bug but we try within the restraints given. If you do have problems with update being slow don't i suggest go outside and waste some time or even, and otm wont like me saying this, download another game to pass the time or must i say it go out help your friends, run a few competitions, level your characters, alts or even old bank character.

I, personally, even though I'm a beta tester, have decided to hold some raffles (lotteries), one for my own clan and another for the whole server. This keeps me busy and on my toes while waiting for something else to test.

Manage your time and you wont be bored with the wait.

+1. My iPod is filled with pictures of bugs, and probably a hundred or so of my posts are related to posting bugs on the forums. We all find bugs, big or small, that are fixed when reported and this doesn't happen with a click of a button.

I have to say I am astonished at the millions of details that need to be checked. I had no idea until I was in beta how very many minute details there are.

The app was submitted on Friday but there were issues with Apple not allowing support for old devices and we have to resubmit. We are going to try another submission with different settings tomorrow, but basically even if it works and the build goes through this will be the last version that supports the iPod 2g before Apple completely blocks everyone from supporting it. I will keep you updated as soon as we hear back from Apple.

Tyvm Admin.

Would it be possible for you to post that info as an announcement or at least a thread?
Your response is great but buried in a topic only us obsessive forum-hounds will see.
But your name starting a thread draws attention.
