Free Plat isn't necessarily "Free"

Almost every single one of my plat offers are all subscriptions to magazines, movie things or just plain buying crap. So if it is "Free" platinum, why am I still paying for stuff? Honestly if I were to spend any money on the free platinum things I would better to use my money towards the game since I'd get more for my money through it.

Most of the low plat offers are legitimately free. Anything more than 10 plat probably requires some form of purchase. That's just the nature of "free" plat.

We're adding more free plat offers where you don't have to buy anything going forwards. This one (trial pay) was the easiest one to add hence it came first.

This isn't so unusual. Other games, especially those on Facebook, do this. Some are truly free like when you do surveys and watch advertisements, but not as much as what you get "free" when you actually buy stuff. When I moved to my new house I ordered DirecTV through TrialPay and really did get thousands of game-currency with my order. So essentially, they're only good if you actually want to purchase the product itself, not because you want to get the free plat.

It really depends on the offers :) for example if you had game informer on there I'd go for it!!!
