I really want to know why are many high level players so rude and mean. Today I tried to send a friend invite and they rejected it like that without even thinking twice. A few days ago I said hi to someone and they didn't reply they werent afl cuz they were walking around. So why are they so rude and mean?

Well, some players are rude. And some may just have a bad day.
Another reason i can think of is that high level players got fed up with begging low level players.
It happens quite a lot I can tell you, very annoying.
As always the bad ruin it for the good. I am sure most high level players want to help out when you have a difficult quest or question.

I get this all the time, while you fight a boss you get spammed with trade, group, and friend invites! Or you get messages for money or items. It's really annoying. Just like asking someone to be your friend who you haven't interacted with or talked to yet.

I guess people totally misunderstand the function of "Add Friend". Y do u want to make friends with a totally stranger? Just becoz they look cool and high level?
I got a few reasons to add friends:
1. add them so u can easily find them again
2. really friends
3. after I trade with them and know they r honest.
Also, my friend list is long, i don't want to put some stranger into the list to make it hard to search for a friend.
so u understand now? not becoz we r rude and not respectful.

Randonly sending friend invites to high lvl players just so you can tell your friend that you friended a high lvl is very rude. If a person (high or low lvl) can't bother to even talk with me, why should I bother adding them into my friends list? The list would soon be filled with 100+ people I have never interacted with and makes it close to impossible to find my real friends. I usually accept friend requests once I've had a nice talk with someone.

Pretty much echoing what others have said, but did you talk to the person first or did you just see them and send a friend request? I ignore friend and trade requests unless the person has made an effort to talk to me before hand.
If it is just a matter of you saying hello and them not responding, it may be that they didn't see it. Some times clan chat goes by pretty fast and I miss what is said in shouts or whispers. And don't bother trying to talk to someone engaged in a fight.
And as other have said, when high levels get random friend/trade spam from people it is usually people begging for items or begging for gold or begging to group with them so they can gain xp. Its to the point where I don't go to Shalemont anymore and were it not for the giant or Connacht bosses I would not go to Lir anymore either. Unfortunatly even Stonevale is being overrun with beggers at certain times. Admin, please put a level restriction on the Otherworld zone

Try talking to us high levels first before you spam trade and freind requests it's annoying as hell getting a trade window with a noob who either shows you nothing or just asks for money and if I've never spoken to you you won't get on my freinds list quite simple and I consider it bad manners just getting multiple trade requests from random people who don't even speak first

I would love to see some kind of filter features with different options, that would be able to:
- Restrict group invitations to all, friends or clanmates.
- Enable/Disable friend requests (regarding the issues discussed above).
- Enable/Disable clan invitations when you're clanless.
- Restrict whispers to all, friends or clanmates (or maybe use a different color when a friend is whispering).
