I am new to Celtic Heroes and am confused about a lot of the slang used here. I was thinking we could get a thread going to explain to all the noobs like me what they mean. For starters, what do aggy and aggro mean?

Aggy means Aggragoth a giant dragon boss in the otherworld. Aggro is short for aggravation which means how "mad a mob is towards the player," which is basically who gets attacked more and who gets attacked less.

The CH wikis may be helpful for you. I don't have the links off the top of my head, but my buddy Google knows how to find them or you can look for links here. Also check the Ask for Help section.

Aggro: short for aggression. "getting aggro" refers to being targeted by the boss. managing aggro is an important part of a group boss kill. Warriors have skills that allow them to get aggro. Rogues have a skill called "distract" that helps deflect aggro off of them as well as "hide" which makes them invisible to mobs of a certain level (until hit). Druids have a skill called "calm" that they can cast on themselves or others which then makes the mob stop attacking that person and turn to attack someone else. Rangers have camo and conceal, which can hide themselves or grp members. Mages don't really have a specific aggro management skill.

Aggy = Aggragoth - a level 150 dragon in the Otherworld.

noob = someone new to the game

OR

noob = someone who has been playing the game a long time but still suck at it

I prefer the 2nd definition.

I use the word "newb" or "newbie" to refer to new players.
