Is a Superior spirit staff rare?

Ok so yesterday will on super combo I ran into ghoron the risen lvl 125 ghost 4 stars and he dropped a superior spirit staff, and I wanted to know if it was rare. Thank you for your time.

All weapons titled "Superior" are rare. And that weapon kinda sucks.

It's basically ward of giants.
Any good? Not really from my opinion.

It adds 500 crush resist and lasts 20 or 30 secs
I have it, not worth using.
