I don't have any hrung drops, neither do I have the dragonlord main hand, but it depends on what skill the skull gives. If freeze or fire bolt, I would definitely use over dragonlord wand.

Ik the dl wep adds 200 focus, and i was wondering, if the loss of that bonus 200 focus made any difference in the spells that would not be worth using a skull for

It does make a difference. Quite a large difference, in fact. But the +9, +12, +15 skill points addition AND 20%, 25%, 30% cool down reduction is just too good to pass.

aggra books 130-150 r better than dl wep ( 150does more dmg + ability ,130 does a bit less dmg like 20 on firebolt but u lose ability too)
i would use a +12/15 firebolt/firestorm skull
150 firebook and +9 skull r IMO quite egal

Definitely skull, by the time you get dl weap 200 foc wouldn't signifacantly impact your heals/dps, whereas skulls...

Depends on the situation. Skulls increase a single skills effectiveness which limits its overall use where as the dl main hand just adds focus so all skills are effected. If you want one skill to be amazing use the hrung weapon, if you want all skills to be decent choose the dl.

I would recomend keeping both on your person so you can switch if needed...
Example:
If I have a roots skull (-20% CD for roots, and +9 to the skill), I would use it only when I need to root/solo. At other times, I would use the Dragonlord totem.

we think of it this way. we have a plus 9 grasp roots skull. we equip this during hrung fight and now all of a sudden you saved 9 skill points you can use for another skill like light strike or beeds or vines. imo, it all depends on skull skill like stated above. if its a skill worth using its def worth having..for example we have a skull that does nat breath that noone uses
