I think the first day of new chests ppl go bat nuts crazy opening them and just with sheer volume more great things are received. After first day less and less chests are opened so less and less great things are received. I personally don't think any nerfs are put on chests. It's just a matter of volume at a particular time just like slot machines in Vegas.

So they still give away old event items? I thought they got rid of that already. Kinda sucks you got hunter fashion when yule chests should be giving frostguard, even if its rare.

that was a typo! my bad xD it was frost guard, somehow I ended up with a red hunter hat and pants though ._.
