Flamebringer torches no longer blunt ability?

Lvl 2 flamebringers drop a torch with 2000 speed... For the last 2 years we've had this option for levelling blunt ability...
I go back to my nooby warrior and think ill use one and BAM it gives no ability points for anything
Why did this get removed? Its been there for so long why change it now??

Thanks. I've adjusted my signature so people dont think im a complete noob idiot from now on...
Yes i have blunt ability my noob warrior is lvl 60-something and is a blunt user

XD dont listen to that noobcake. And yes last time I checked flame torches raised blunt.
