I am asking specifically about the testing the new engine, as admin mentioned that beta was starting "soon. I am under the impression that Android testing had already begun, therefore the beta testing of Android version and the new engine are separate.

Hi there, that was me talking to you ingame. There will be several rounds of beta testing, right now it's a private beta where you have to apply as a tester, but later will be opening up to a public beta which everyone can join in.
